I would assume it will. Lesson learned: even if it doesn't at launch, they could decide to require it at any time.
Devil's advocate...
For Helldivers specifically here, the PSN requirement was listed on the Steam page at launch. It wasn't enforced, but it was disclosed.
Not saying I agree, it's a shitty move that definitely seems like it's being forced by Sony who couldn't care any less about publicity. But this requirement was already there for anyone that bothered to read the store page, even if it wasn't enforced at the time.
If that's the case, then the game should not have been sold to those in countries that don't have access to psn.
Do we actually know if it was? I mean, I know people from those countries bought it, but many of them use vpns to buy things they want to either pay less, or get them at all.
So for example, was it for sale in Egypt?
No argument from me there. Especially since they're saying the only reason it wasn't required was some sort of technical issue at launch.
