That college degree can help you get jobs in other states. I'm also trans but it was hard to hold down jobs because of sexual harassment and people constantly trying to size me up. I've been looking at offers online for room sharing in blue states and there seems to be some good options. I just wish people would explicitly put "trans friendly" so I don't have to out myself.

Yeah... yeah pretty much. It sucks how hard it is to leave sometimes. I don't think most people realize how controlling people are here.

Also if my comment sounds weird it's because I could say so much more about the South but decided to omit it. You summed it up perfectly.

As a former driver I agree. I always feel bad about the tip thing but gas is so expensive and the apps pay like shit despite charging so many fees. And knowing that restaurants also pay a fee meaning the apps get MORE money is even more infuriating.

You don't get to decide an entire group of people can't use the fucking restroom that's right for them just because you imagine we're all predators. No one is after you and your ugly kids except priests

I agree you are vile because we are not dangerous or subhuman. Also trust me you don't want trans guys like me using the women's restroom because I'll clog all the toilets with my shits. Hell I'll even prep by going to Chipotle first

You don't even know what trans guys are but you think trans people are somehow dangerous ie not letting trans women use the women's restroom?

FUCK... oh wait force of habit

This is where being forgetful comes in handy because you can just forget that you're overthinking

So I was in my car and venting about how I hate Americans because of the vast amount of shit and hate and discrimination I've had to deal with on top of people here not believing in mental health problems so I'm expected to perk up magically even tho I've experienced threats of violence and dehumanization. People where I live are so hateful that if I said that last sentence out loud they would get angry because they don't care what happens to people like me.

So even at home I have to stay as quiet as possible because there is no privacy here from the neighbors or "family." My car is the only place I can vent. On the way to work I said I hate Americans and somehow my boss knew because after that he kept making comments about how he and I are just dumb Americans, something he never said before and he normally doesn't talk like that.

Then he tried to guilt me because he's black and his ancestors didn't choose to come here.

Anyone of any background can go thru shit and no one can say otherwise and if they do then they're just wrong. Nothing will change that reality and there are no excuses for treating people like shit.
