There will be welcome tears of joy! There will be even more pungent foods! We will breed new kinda of brassica vegetables! A better world is possible!

@[email protected] Well if they saw this they would likely be busy googling "solomon islands" but I imagine instances federated with Lemmy/Hexbear/Lemmygrad should have a relatively anticolonial crowd. Lemmy.world people (mostly the same
group of mods btw) would likely say this is good to challenge China's corrupt authoritarian policing in the region
@[email protected] Which would imply the only data they have is on non-combatants. I would bet you that their "information about October 7" was based on rumors, not the smartphones of resistance fighters somehow (lol)
@[email protected] I'm telling you, it's just Indians picking large buildings. AI does protein folding, not this.
@[email protected] This argument is completely devoid of any understanding of how US imperialism created this war, or the self-determination by citizens in Donetsk and Luhansk to leave a state that came to be run by NATO-backed torturers filled with historical fantasies of racism makes Russia look fairly reluctant to participate in it.
the only thing keeping your average Ukrainian from living in a war zone is western arms shipments, and tbh that’s the only argument that I find really resonates with me
Why would this argument resonate with anyone? Are you basing your understanding of Ukraine off post-2022 discourse? You think those concert-bombing wheeled artillery pieces are protecting civilians? You should take a look at SBU headquarters, Patriot batteries can't even do anything against their new weapons. They're certainly not for destroying apartment complexes or community centers.
The USA has fomented far right parties in Ukraine since WWII but what Nuland and friends have done since 2014 is truly despicable. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bmaakY-PIAc

@[email protected] very true about the tones but i consider reading and writing to ultimately be the biggest barrier to immersion learning in the age of online
well then you must lol! it's awesome from what the ppl i know who went there tell me
Vietnam is the easy mode version of this, purportedly. Alphabet instead of characters, I'm probably phrasing that wrongly to the extreme but you get me
@[email protected] this book has almost 100 holds on it at my library system haha
(reposting because it's not visible on the community i mentioned the post in unless i reply like this)
@[email protected] @[email protected] I'm gonna start by debunking the myth that Israel is invulnerable because they have nuclear weapons. Since they have so many conventional precision weapons pointed at Israel, without nuclear weapons Lebanon, Yemen, and Iran are still able to take out strategic targets: missile launchers, AA weapons, radar, runways, facilities in important bases, etc. In addition to this, they can use the strategy even against protected locations like these powerplants striking them with barrages that first use a bunch of cheap projectiles like drones to break the air defense then get a bunch of conventional strikes through depriving Israel of electricity. They can also do this to other facilities like water treatment, forcing military logistics to shift to providing food and water for civilians. note that none of this has the domestic and international consequences of using nuclear weapons. Now something to know about Israel is that they're not able to do without these amenities and they require extremely high morale to be willing to fight since they live in a giant strip mall.
