Should have cloned tuvix in the transporter then split the older one.

Or should have sedated tuvix so a unique personality couldn't manifest in the time before the doctor could design a cure.

But it's easy looking back with hindsight, when you're there and it's actually happening you don't have the luxury of time to think of the most perfect solution.

Why would anyone watch it that many times on Netflix, they don't even have the extended version!!

I've been re-watching star trek voyager recently, and I've heard when filming, they didn't clear the wide angle of filming equipment, so it's not as simple as just going back to the original film. With the advancement of AI, is it only a matter of time until older programs like this are released with more updated formats?

And if yes, do you think AI could also upgrade to 4K. So theoretically you could change a SD 4:3 program and make it 4k 16:9.

I'd imagine it would be easier for the early episodes of Futurama for example due to it being a cartoon and therefore less detailed.

Yeah first episode was alright, but nothing spectacular, a little too meta in my opinion. I feel like it didn't have much emotion for the characters, but we'll see as the next episodes are released

I might be missreading this, but the way I'm using Lemmy is subscribed and ordered by new, making mega threads like this might mean I don't see news about big developments. One of the reasons I used to use Reddit was to keep up-to-date with the news. I'm happy if this is just to group speculation and conversation. But each actually news worthy event should get its own thread.
