Ah sweet! This man made jokes beyond all humor!

What if instead of the torment nexus, it was "Don't Create the Funny Nexus" and techbros were trying too hard to open a comedy club?

The first part sounds good, but then reads like bait to draw in leftist readers into the next half, which is a really long winded, round about way of both sidesing the conflict and even conflating Zionism and Judaism.

I thought it was weird at first that there's absolutely no introspection from your character or any kind of story that encourages reflection within the game since it's supposed to be a 'satire' of fascism. But then I saw how redditors talk about it, even when they understand that they're playing the bad guys, and it made a lot more sense.

Helldivers: "FOR DEMOCRACY" dies

Also helldivers: kills several things in one airstrike "How do you like the taste of liberty?"

Also helldivers: killing entire indigenous populations for their oil with airstrike after airstrike after airstrike "you'll never destroy our way of life"

Reddit: wow, this is just like Russia North Korea China Cuba Iran ...

There was also news that reddit plans to use user content for AI training, I think this is a way of calming discontent from power users in regards to that issue while also gaining some media hype.

They should do something with the written language cause it's a mess. It feels like it's convoluted to the point that it's deliberate.

I came from learning Mandarin and felt glad they went through simplification of hanzi - learning it is hard, but at least every character has one pronunciation (excluding tone changes, 行, and 了, but they're really predictable). Learning that that's not the case with Japanese kanji (Onyomi and Kunyomi) was confounding.

Seems like every other language that had adopted the Chinese writing system in the past went through some kind of simplification for the sake of promoting literacy - Korean, Vietnamese, and even Chinese itself. Japanese seems to want it every which way - keep the traditional characters, incorporate both native Japanese and Chinese pronunciations of them, and add in three different phonetic writing systems. No, I'm totally not mad about it.

So it's ok to call your relative and ring them out over whatever likely minor role they had in the rollback of abortion protections, but we can't find fault in one of the most prominent members of the senate who's supposedly the figurehead of progressive politics in the US because he's essentially supporting a genocide?

If his legacy is that of popularizing more left wing views in the US, he's doing everything he can to destroy all of that and self immolate by supporting Israeli genocide. Even by your "realpolitik" perspective of some leftist endgame - one that he has absolutely no chance of reaching before he dies of old age no matter how nice he plays - you should be condemning him outright as well.

It's crazy how openly they're admitting that government funded aid isn't meant to actually provide aid, but to circulate back into privatized interests.

I've always had an inkling that even if most Americans realized the mechanics and impacts of imperialism - this aspect of foreign aid and that its explicitly meant to destabilize and kill - they would still support it because of the benefits they might receive - perhaps Raytheon might throw you a 60k per year bone or maybe appreciation in value on your 401k through the index stocks you own. Articles like this - "this funding is justified because we get all that money back through private defense contractors anyways" - make that reality so clear that this bias is all the more validated.

New site tagine plucked from the wild (a BG3 discussion on reddit)

Also, the fun part in evil relationships isn't talking things out and open communication. If someone hurts your feelings, send them an assassin with a frowny face. Rather than an argument, start a proxy war and then makeup when your respective nations run out of people. Think less real life tragedy, and more cartoon villains. I find that stuff incredibly funny but I'm barely sane.
