Not a Lemmy issue. Click bait unfortunately works to drive views through all social media platforms.

The thing I love is being able to click into the comments first to see the auto-generated summary. Prevents the site from getting my traffic.

Fuck yeah, I'd be down for a QuietAfternoon2000. Hell, do they make one for adults? I'm ready for a good nap.

Glad I'm not the only one. Dude has a way with words!

Agreed! He plays the stoic sociopath really well, which is what I always seem to see him playing - Breaking Bad, Fargo Season 2 (less a sociopath here, but made very questionable choices), Black Mirror.

Yeah, that's Jesse Plemons. He's married to Kirsten Dunst of all things. I just finished watching season 2 of Fargo with him and Dunst - both were amazing in it.

I always think of him as "Walmart Matt Damon".

EDIT: Fixed his last name

IRL ad blocker would be something I'd wear a Google Glass-type device for. It does feel a little like an episode of black mirror though, filtering things from life.

Companies are still trying to figure out how to make VR/AR mainstream beyond entertainment and niche use. They desperately want it to be the next cell phone, but we had good reason to want to carry around access to virtually all information and it was in a good form factor.

I agree with you - Google Glass had the right idea for the form factor. The problem is it's a solution looking for a problem to solve.

I question if you're American. No American I've ever met says "USA". It's always "US" or "Americans". USA is only said as a chant of pride.

I have the same experience as you. My local theater chain has good seating, plenty of screens for multiple options, people are usually very good at following proper theater etiquette. I know I could watch it at home, but I go for the atmosphere. Sitting there with no other distractions, having a shared experience with strangers...you can't fully replicate that at home.

It's a shame not everyone has the same opportunity at their theater.

AI Prion disease from cannibalizing other AI posts sounds like a phrase we should have in our vernacular.

I wonder if anyone has a list of unsolved crimes in the area. Would be great debate and journalist material.
