From what I've seen/heard, if you follow the ToS (usually by not proxy-ing hosts that shouldn't be proxied or are in violation if they are) there's nothing to be afraid of ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Just wanted to say in case others see this, you can buy a .xyz domain from reputable places (maybe for a higher cost). I believe the OP is talking about the specific site 'gen.xyz'.

I have an xyz domain with Cloudflare, host many things on it (like Jellyfin), and haven't had any issues yet.

Edit: as many have pointed out, my understanding of registrars was wrong and gen.xyz actually owns all xyz tlds. Sleep in fear if you own one I suppose

Right now on Firefox for Android (I use it on macOS, Windows, Linux, and iOS without issue) I'm only able to sign into websites requiring passkeys with my on-device or Google account passkeys. I can't sign in using my 1Password passkeys like I do on all the other platforms. There was a bug fix I was watching the status of (got fixed a few weeks or a month ago) that should be included in the next Firefox release (128), fixing this annoying issue :-)

As far as what passkeys are, it's basically password-less logins: https://passkeys.io and https://passkeys.dev

Unless something changed, I'm fairly certain you can't unlock the bootloaders of Verizon devices

1 more release and 3rd party passkeys will work on Android (ノ゚0゚)ノ~

Sigh I miss my BlackBerry

I've used these for the last year or so on my blinds. They work over Bluetooth so one at a time can be controlled despite them being in a home assistant group. This means if I close both of them, I watch one close first and then the other shortly after. Maybe another Bluetooth radio would work? Not sure. But I like the product itself because there is no other ecosystem and it's all local. Also solar powered so no cables running everywhere :-).

I don't often comment my opinions but I'm curious to hear the arguments for my rationale:

Call it what you want; ignorance, childish, stupid, etc. I don't pay attention to the news (haven't for many years now) and I firmly believe it's okay that I don't.

So much of what's presented by the media doesn't impact my day-to-day life in the slightest. Ex. War in a foreign country is kicking off...what can I do about that? Gas prices go up...am I going to stop getting gas?

When hanging out with friends and family, the larger topics tend to be brought up and that's how I learn what is going on currently (especially when this happens with different groups of people) without trying.

I also don't vote because, at this point, I'd consider myself the definition of an uninformed voter.

Left IT for flying. Figured it'd be a great change to my indoor-centric lifestyle.

My whole life I've seen people that are or became masters of their craft and I've always admired them. I'm in my 30s. I'm not sure if I'll ever be a master of anything but I was far closer in IT than I am as a pilot lol

Didn't forget the ability to uninstall pre-installed apps without compromising security and locking you out of updates (you need to modify the system image which affects SIP and also doesn't allow you to use FileVault disk encryption once disabled)...

Custom build of (rooted post-buildtime) GrapheneOS.

I understand all the reasons not to root GrapheneOS but I enjoy the control and options over my device that I'd otherwise not have if it wasn't for rooting

As the title says...what are you all doing?
