I was actually unsure about this one for a moment, but this is AI generated

https://www.aap.com.au/factcheck/sydney-opera-houses-subterranean-chamber-the-product-of-digital-mischief/

The shared image appears on a Facebook page dedicated to “synthography art” – a term that refers to images created via artificial intelligence – and the logo “SA” appears at the bottom left of the Opera House image.

In reality, the easily recognised landmark is not on a round base with trees surrounding it, as depicted, but the narrow Bennelong Point peninsula.

The skyline behind also doesn’t match Sydney’s.

Still a very cool image

The regular share function isn't working for me

The hint helped a lot for this one

A good time to try out some of the other daily games. What's your favorite?

WhenTaken is a recent one I really liked

I'm more familiar with a different model (venu), but none of those features required subscriptions. Part of why I keep an eye on Garmin devices is because they're generally more privacy friendly, and it's easier to track health data without using their app / network if you wanted to.

I found this this: https://www.garmin.com/en-CA/c/subscription-plans/

The subscriptions seem to be related to features that would rely on their network, and not workout / activity tracking:

  • using cellular networks to text/call/track location without a phone
  • storing photos on their servers
  • SOS / inReach services

There are a few I'm not sure about, such as the Tacx cycling option or Maps+. You could double check if you wanted those things

To my knowledge I don't think any of them do, but if you share what features you're looking at it might give you more peace of mind when people confirm :)

Reading comments on Lemmy / Reddit mostly. I'm not looking for the top voted answer but rather the points that people mention and considering what's important to me. If possible I also check with friends that might have purchased something similar

Overtime I'll use Reddit less and less, given that they're now actively telling businesses to take advantage of that effect. Old comments are still ok, but new comments are all suspect

What a mess.

I started using this recently and it seems to work pretty well. I'd love to know more about how they pick out the topics

What is it?

You can sign in with almost any Fediverse account (ex. your lemmy account, mastodon account, etc.). Afterwards, you will be able to place a pixel every 30 seconds or so. By working together, people make (and break) different designs.

You shouldn't need to give away your login information to authenticate. For me, the system asked for my instance and username, then sent me a message with the verification code.

Timeline: 72 hours

  • Opens on July 12th, 2024 @ 4am UTC
  • Closes on July 15th 2024 @ 4am UTC

What should we do?

I don't think we have any templates yet, so you're open to suggest a Canada wide design, or smaller specific ones. In the meantime, just have fun :)
