I know it isn't food safe but it is 10 mins or less and if you are cooking it as ground meat and you break down cook it fully then you are pretty unlikely to have bacteria issues. I wouldn't do it to a roast where the outside is going to be defrosted way longer than the center.

Also the best thing is to freeze ground meat in thin layers, like one pound in a large Ziploc so it is less than 3 cm thick and defrosts fast without the hot water.

The fastest way, like 15 mins is to take the sealed package of frozen meat and put it in a container with hot but not boiling water. The meat will act like an ice cube, cooling down the water and other than the very center of the meat it will be ready to cook right away. This is really only good for ground meats because you can fry, flip, and scrape off the frozen center bit while browning the rest of the meat. Still better than microwave defrosting.

In western Canada a certain sweet product company is on strike. The workers don't even want a raise they just want to get rid of a new shift the company wants to impose on the workers that is reminiscent of suicide shifts.

so-called “suicide shifts” where workers are only off the clock for eight hours before having to come back in.

The workers just want to have regular work shifts and the company won't even budge, they only see profit if workers are fucked.

They are bribed for so little that it would be almost easier to make a dystopian sounding PAC with money raised by small dollar donations to bribe them to do what the people want instead of them doing what rich donors want.

I worked with a guy that had to go in three times but I think he was no following post operation care. You are supposed to abstain for a few days while it heals.

When I got my vasectomy it was no needle, no scalpel. They make a small hole then pull the vas deferens out cut and tie it to itself then do the other, all with pain numbing spray. Was 5 minutes not including the ball shaving. I went in to work that night, with an ice pack on my balls all night but barely had any issues. Some extra swelling happened but I went back for an injection of anti inflammatory and it went away.

Third. Just go in play a quick mission or two with a friend on the weekend then have some crazy beers.

Great writing. Too bad about the guy getting railroaded for the zipgun someone likely dumped in the bush by his bins.

Is there a good guide on f-droid and sideloading you recommend?

If it is something that Google doesn't recommend then I should probably be doing it.

Far better than the movie. Much crap was added to the movie. Better antagonists in the book and the sequel was also good. Upon searching just now I found that there are a total of four novels in the series.

Jumper, Reflex, Impulse and Exo all by Steven Gould. Now I have two more books to read.

If you had the teleport jump ability from the book Jumper that would be pretty cool and useful. The character fills a cistern by being in water and in the cistern simultaneously which would be a great way to help drought suffering areas while also helping flooding areas.

I don't just mean depression in just the mental sense. Depressed economy, depressed job prospects, depressed education system.

When systemic injustice is just the way life is for a group of people then they get depressed in more than just mental depression.

It would have been more accurate to say the lack of law enforcement depresses the population.

Depressing or lowering the ability of a population to live a positive and healthy environment because you are much more likely to be a target of crime is going to be oppressive to that population.

Being over-policed or under-policed lead to similar issues. Criminals being a burden to the civilian population or over reaching police being a burden to the population. A balance is needed and five officers for an area the size of Connecticut is too few for effective police presence.
