I second that

Unexpected Keyboard, or any other keyboard and use a firewall (Netguard, Invizible Pro) to block internet access.

Another approach is to switch to a distractless Launcher. I personally use Olauncher, needed 2 days to get used to it... never looked back.

another +1 for Feeder, awesome app. On Desktop I use Liferea.
