The strikes hurt the wrong people. In fact, not running the trains actually saves money for the company.
So to hurt the right people, they should publicly announce that the service will run as usual but no tickets will be checked that day whatsoever.

Aber halt auch das Gegenteil. Dicke Geldverschwendung... Die ganzen Pensionen, ZDF Fernsehgarten auf Malle, überteuerte Sport-Rechte und sinnlose Konkurrenzsituationen.
Ich hatte mal beim Potsdamer Platz gearbeitet und immer guten Einblick in die Ecke, wo während der Berlinale die ganzen Ü-Wagen geparkt haben. Während quasi jeder private Fernsehsender mit einem LKW, teilweise sogar mit einem Kastenwagen oder großen Transporter auskam, war das ZDF immer mit mindestens 3 großen LKW-Anhängern dabei. Dazu dann noch weitere Fahrzeuge von ÖR-Radiosendern. Keine Ahnung mehr, ob ARD auch noch separat vertreten war. Aber das war jedes Mal eine tolle Demonstration, wie man Geld verbrennt, um dann bei der nächsten Kostenfrage der KEF herum zu heulen, dass das Geld vorne und hinten nicht reicht.
I've never noticed any issues or long delays. My Raspberrys come up either way. Might take a bit longer if the NAS isn't accessible - but they still come up. Only without the mounted shares, of course.
As an alternative, you could do the same using systemd.
Just don’t use public and free services like GitHub or GitLab. Setup your own webspace with a trusty provider, install Gitea/Forgejo and host the code yourself. It’s that easy!
