The fact that this is actually legal makes me glad to live in the EU. Damn, this shit is bleak.

French person here. Le Pen wouldn't be where she is without Macron. He used her as a foil to win two elections, and his party has been hard at work normalising cooperation with the far right in parliament to oppose any left wing bill. He is playing with fire, and one pertinent comment from his PM should not make us forget that.

I don't see why you would call any catholic leader "Trump loyal". Trump has nothing to do with this (isn't he supposed to be protestant btw?).

What's happening is the Vatican apparently trying to clean itself up a bit. Not really sure if there is anything to expect from it but it's a start.

[Bug] Spoilers not working (lemmy.magnor.ovh)

Spoilers are not being hidden in boost whereas they are in the basic UI. See this example .

Edit: markdown seems to be broken as a whole but only for my own posts.

Any time I put the device to sleep, the top bar disappears on resume and I cannot get back to or launch any game. They do launch, but the menu window keeps focus and prevents me from accessing them.

I've gone through several stable updates and the issue remains.

Has anyone had the same issue ? Is there any fix short of reimaging ?

Edit: workaround thanks to [email protected]:

"Found a temporary work-around - it's somehow related to the "Wake Movie." In the Steam menu on the left, go to "Settings," down to "Customization," then turn off "Use as wake movie." Should work the next time you "Sleep" "

They follow quite closely, as the authors were also show runners.

Each season is not exactly one book: season 1 is 2/3 of book 1, season two goes from there to half of book 2, season 3 wraps books 2 and 3. Seasons 4 to 6 are one book each.

Season 3 condenses book 3 quite a lot so you should expect differences here. As is usual in adaptation, characters and plot points are merged/moved around at diverse moments. A huge change is made at the end of season 5 due to one actor being outed as a perv piece of crap.

Books 7 to 9 were not adapted.

In the end, both mediums are great experiences and you should definitely enjoy both.

A lot have in some capacity; see preprint servers like arxiv.org.

The problem is that without papers published in actual journals, you are literally worth nothing in academia. Nothing. Can't stress this enough, publish or perish is no joke. You won't get any kind of job without a stupidly high number of published papers. Young researchers have nowhere near the bargaining power to initiate any kind of change there. Neither do older ones, tbh.

Will the media never learn not to give this moron a platform ? We do not need to hear his every "thoughts" on whatever topic. People who have not grasped at this point that he is as stupid as a sack of corrugated plastic will never be convinced. Stop giving him exposure for pity's sake.

The EU is not any better on that front. Looking a you Elsevier and Springer.

I don't think this is unpopular. Well, at least I hope it is not. Those bots are horrendous.

Yeah. I'd rather hand it over to the weird guy at the bus stop. At least he's not a billionaire douche bag.

vs The Expanse: we are headed for some bleak imperialist nonsense but humanity's salvation will come from... Nevermind, we're fucked.
