Animated silliness is the best

Not a fan of the beach or swimming, but I like being outside, but its too hot and too humid. I sleep better in the winter too. Spring and Fall are great with 75 F highs.

I know some interactions are possible, but do private messages work?

A 20s animation ruadri did with voice samples from trendane in order to play with lip syncing in animation.

Does anyone have ideas? Does anyone actually want to? I do what I can, but it feels like there is only ~10 people here and shouting into the void isn't that enjoyable. pawb.social is a little better, but I don't know how much their new members know about us, and I don't know how much those here know about their newer communities. For remote visitors, here is a list of all local yiffit communities including all the NSFW ones

I decided I wanted a better profile picture, so I bought some art. (Moths are furry, just look at the fluff)

Other than the weather, rural Appalachia and the south have a lot in common.

Whether your active on other instances, a long time lurker, a former active user..., Are you still around?

[-] [email protected] 13 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago)

I don't know what it takes to run an instance, but time is a finite resource, and can understand if life takes you to other places and a free website for others falls behind. I can say, that yiffit always seems to be working and to me that is #1. Please don't take any of my comments or posts about function to mean you aren't doing enough or there is something more you could do. Lemmy itself still has a 0.x release and lots of bugs/missing features in many aspects.
We not might be a big group here, but it seems to be a pretty good one. I for one don't miss .ml, and never got the sense they (the developers) were a particularly welcoming bunch. I think even pawb runs off their own fork in case they (.ml) let their views into the code itself. In general blocking from other instances is just something that comes with federation, you will never see everything and the whims of a single admin could cut off large chunks.

I know nothing about sysadmin or moderation, but I'm confident there are others here who do and would help if asked.

Thank you for running yiffit. I have enjoyed my time here, and if it sticks around, I will continue to be here.

Somebody knew what they were doing.

Its funny how youtube has its circles. Tom scott is in the science youtube sphere, with Smarter Every Day (Destin), Technology Connections (Alec), Practical Engieneering(Grady), Stand Up Maths (Matt Parker), Steve Mould, Numberphile, Computerphile, and many, many others.

Tom Scott is Nice in this category as his videos are usually short, to the point, interesting, and weekly. He has some longer form content and game shows on other channels to. Overall if your interested in science and trivia game show youtube, he's worth a watch. His other channels are Technical Difficulties, lateralcast, and no longer used Matt and Tom.

But how will you get addicted to the music if you can only play for 30s at a time.

[-] [email protected] 13 points 9 months ago

I think the mere presence of the both of them might but a damper on that particular technique. May your family time be more relaxing than stressful.

Look at that self control. Only one at a time.

You never really know whats going to cause a scar, my biggest is from a light scrape with a metal coat hanger.

I guess this brings up the age old question: How do you torture a masochist?

[-] [email protected] 14 points 11 months ago

With as many times as I've looked at this, I don't think I've ever really noticed. I like it.
