I’m so happy something like this exists. I hate RGB and love wood on my electronics. Think I’m gonna pick one of these up.

Chrome didn’t already default to https? Why?

Digital Foundry did their own testing and found that DX11 is better most of the time, but in some CPU-limited situations you can get higher framerates with Vulkan. Performance differed a bit across hardware manufacturers. YMMV

I bought it on PS2, PS4, and Steam. I just wish they’d make a true sequel one day.

I wonder how long they’ll stay competitive with taxis. From what I understand, they were subsidized pretty hard by VCs during the low interest rate era.

Anecdotally, Uber would’ve charged me $75 for a ride from JFK airport to uptown Manhattan, meanwhile every taxi had a $70 fixed fare. They’re already neck-and-neck. What’s going to give?

Sorry if this has already been reported. I keep trying to block lemmygrad.ml and it doesn’t save, whenever the app restarts or a new post from that instance shows up it’s removed from the filter list. Is this broken for anyone else?

I like the new icon but I’d love the option to change back to the old one once in a while. I used to change icons on Apollo all the time.

Unfortunately, this doesn’t work, but Pixelfed just added a “log in with Mastodon” option yesterday. It’s not impossible that it’ll come to lemmy one day.

I’ve worked with (read: done a tiny amount of work with) accessibility compliance and you basically only need a “we’re working towards accessibility” disclaimer somewhere to be legally covered. Not sure how that works with blatant regressions like this, though; I imagine a case could be made that their statement is a lie.

Synecdoche New York. Every one of my friends who’ve seen it think it’s brilliant. I tried watching it and felt like I was losing my mind. I know that’s the point, but that doesn’t make it a good movie!

This rare footage comes from [https://youtube.com/@chernobyl86](Alexandr Kupnyi), a health physics technician at Chernobyl. The elephant’s foot, a large deposit of melted and cooled nuclear material, can be seen at 4:48.
