This god damn game ๐
I never finished this one, and it is on the list.
I remember that it had lots of really obtuse collectibles, which are sometimes alluded to, and other times they are not.
Like in the first stage, if you use the crashed rocket's engines to incinerate a sheep corpse, you get a special thing. I only knew about that because it was in a magazine.
Definitely have mixed feelings about going back to that one when I get a chance ๐
As an adult, I can appreciate it, and in fact MGS2 has one of my favourite stories.
I think at the time it really fed into the hero worship of Solid Snake, and as you said, masterfully played
My favourite thing about the build-up to MGS2 was not mentioning Raiden or the main plot at all and then being blindsided by the bait and switch ๐
I promise to get to this at some point.
It is sitting there on my deck ready to go, but I kept getting distracted, and now I am playing catch up on Spoop related stuff ๐

This is why I love the Horror scene at Itch.io they churn out some great PS1/N64 aesthetic stuff for horror games.
I saw Cannon Spike on RetroAchievements listing, and I must admit, I'm super curious about this one. It's definitely on my list to play!
So I will be checking out this review to get an idea what I might be in for! ๐

Future Perfect is an absolute god-tier game, they clearly had some writers who understood the absurdities of time travel and leaned into that.
