Love the warning label on the box

Thanks for your reply! So I'm not the only one then. It would be very helpful if connect would show some indication that an image is being uploaded, I think having to wait 5 minutes and see if it did anything is a bit counterintuitive.

Hi there, I've got this issue that when I try to upload an image it just doesn't work. It doesn't give me any error messages, the image is simply not uploaded. I click upload and nothing happens. If it's a screenshot, sometimes it'll work, sometimes it won't. Connect doesn't give me any feedback if the image is uploading at all, or if the request was denied or ignored or whatever.

The issue seems to be worse when trying to upload an image in a comment. Has anybody else encountered this problem?

It's a reference to an infamous 4 panel comic strip called "loss". It's one of them ancient memes from 2008. If I remember correctly, the story of the comic is that the dude rushes in to the hospital to find his pregnant wife had just lost their baby or something. If you dumb it down enough and reduce the characters to lines, you end up with

I II

II I--

Congratulations, you just figured out how healthcare works in the rest of developed countries

Why is this in globalnews? How in the fuck is this relevant to / impacting anybody outside the us???

Omg YES. I am so tired of seeing bad news all the time, all it does is ruin your day. I come to Lemmy to unwind and escape reality, to look at some funny memes and forget my life for a bit, not to be constantly reminded of all the horrible things happening in the world.

I am thankful for being born and living in Europe 🇪🇺

It's forbidden in Germany!

If you happen to go to a school where your parent is employed, you will never land in a class that your parent is teaching. Homeschooling is also forbidden by the way.

I miss rif (lemmy.world)
submitted 1 year ago by [email protected] to c/[email protected]

I used to browse reddit on rif for years before the official app even released. The official app is like "can I have a reddit, mom?" - "we have reddit at home" Reddit at home: takes an eternity to load even if it's a text post, keeps recommending me stuff I didn't sub to, full of ads, screen is filled with full sized images so it takes a lot longer to see posts that I'm willing to click on...

I miss rif. I used to lurk and look at memes on rif all the time, occasionally asking for advice on relationships or jobs or whatnot. I'm considering quitting reddit altogether, just found out about Lemmy. Is there a lotr memes or prequel memes community over here?
