I spend a lot more time on it since I am an instance admin. (not on this account or instance though)

Everything I’ve learned about this man has been against my will

I tried being nosy and went to the discord server. From what I can gather within the official discord, it seems likely a similar situation to former Minecraft mod loaders drama. Weird, intercommunity drama and general disagreements about the future of the project resulting in a massive split. It seems that there was discussion of potentially improving upon the code of forge and having it run smoother and maybe incorporating an existing project (sodium it seems?) and if such suggestion was actually incorporated that would have potentially disrupted the forge main download site's ability to generate ad revenue, and such suggestion apparently morphed into tension that had been seemingly brewing for months. Apparently, the guy they parted ways with was given the forge project and basically owns the rights to the name, website, ad revenue on the website, and is in control of community donations. All of it seems like a hot mess regardless, but we will see what the truth is in time I presume.

Take what I'm saying with a grain of salt though, I could be completely wrong.

Please take care of yourself. We seriously appreciate you and everything you've done, same goes for all other staff. This past week has immensely stressful across the lemmyverse and no one blames you at all for needing to tap out from all this. A lot of people are expecting lemmy and lemmy instances to be like reddit 2.0, but that's just not humanly possible. It also feels like lemmy as a software has had it personally out for beehaw... kind of like a murphy's law situation.

Not gonna lie, this makes me deeply uncomfortable. Kabbalah is just a word for Jewish mysticism. It is closed practice and non-Jews aren't supposed to delve deep into it, not because Jews have this weird sinister desire to hide this hidden knowledge but because it has gotten us murdered in the past. The word cabal is specifically in reference to Kabbalah. Alongside that, most resources on Kabbalah you find online is deeply inaccurate or completely misinterpreted outside of the specific Jewish context. Within the religious context of Judaism though, there is a commonly held opinion that non-Jews who attempt to study Kabbalah will be driven to madness by it.

I installed it, looked around, and deleted it.

It depends on the instance in my experience. Beehaw is a good one though, I feel.

Like I said, it will backfire. When people get refused service for MAGA hats or because of being Christian they will throw a fit but they dug the hole for themselves here.

It’s awful and I agree though. It’s disgusting and the cruelty is the point. But the way this is going to be use against them is going to make things so messy and petty.

Apologies if this is the wrong community for this! Feel free to delete if it is.

Also, this is a big blow to lgbt anti discrimination but it also is a blow to a lot of others as well The way this decision is going to backfire and the fact it will be able to applied against not just lgbt people has not been thought through, at all.

It still feels very bad to implement in this medical setting whatsoever right now in its current state. Not to be a luddite, but it's just far too risky no matter how small it may be in that industry. I know it's a given and it's already being done regardless though.

Decided to try my hand at color work for the first time in crochet. Dreading weaving it all in at the very end, but it looks so pretty so far. I'm excited to give it to my grandma when it's done, I know she's gonna love it! I plan on doing a fancy white border around once its done.

I mainly use imgur to upload screenshots using sharex, would appreciate being pointed in the direction of any alternative.
