I played and rolled credits in animal well which was really fantastic. I am still looking for secrets! Also checked out caves of qud's new UI update on the beta branch. It's outstanding

What are you all playing! I beat thousand year door! Really amazing game. I understand why it is so beloved.

I also started and am almost done with the original fallout. Probably the 20th time I've tried to get into it and I was actually able to this time! Once I'm done with that I want to start Animal Well

I agree it shouldn't be the ESA's responsibility. However as it says in the article:

In 2023, the Video Game History Foundation revealed 87 percent of games released pre-2010 were currently not preserved in any capacity. Attempts previously made by the Library of Congress were halted by the ESA, which said it'd rely on publishers to take care of those efforts themselves.

So the ESA have made themselves the problem by halting such attempts

Another thread! Whatcha all been playing?

The recent news of the Hades II test made me finally really pick it up and try and finish it this last week

Am I wrong or is this article 3 years old?

[-] [email protected] 37 points 6 months ago

Except the devs who aren't in unions yet :(

But, yes I hope the industry continues towards a unionized future!

I mean, the EEOC is literally suing them. Not sure what part you don't believe. If you don't believe that stuff actually happened there, did you read to the end of the article? It's not the first time they've been accused of this

Oh wow it's so much better. Really hope more wikis follow suit

I mean personally I wouldn't want to game like that on my phone, as it will almost certainly kill the battery and I need my phone for.... well phone things.

But I don't really see why it being $60 is at all weird. It's a $60 AAA game everywhere else too. Same game as it is there.

Edit: and it also unlocks the game on m1 or newer iPads and macOS devices... really not seeing why this is so egregious. It's $60 on steam too

Respectfully, you are in a gaming forum, and starfield is one of the biggest games that has come out this year.

This comment contributes nothing to the topic the thread is about, besides getting a rise out of people.

Please think about this before commenting in the future. Thank you

I would just like to throw my voice out there as a mod on the instance.

I truly love beehaw, and will likely stay if this move happened. Beehaw was an amazing place to find after everything happened with reddit. And I love participating here and really like the community I've found here

All that being said. I would be extremely saddened and disappointed if beehaw decided to leave the fediverse. I am fully aware of how some off instance users can behave. It is definitely a problem, especially in some more vulnerable communities. However I also feel like the ability to federate has brought some life to the platform that would be sorely missed.

I would very much hope a white list would be considered before leaving the fediverse entirely.

Ultimately, I know this is not my project. And I have no decision making powers, but I think lemmy would be a much worse place without beehaw. I hope this decision does not come to pass, personally

Not sure which post you're talking about, but in general, yeah. Any kind of excusing of transphobia is 100% not tolerated here. I'm not a mod of this particular community, but please use the report button if you see anything like this happening.
