I wouldn't really call Against the Storm an RTS. It's worker placement game and a short-session city builder. You place down buildings, and assign your people to do specific things. You get modifiers, new buildings, and events as the run goes on. You have to produce specific resources to earn points to win the run. Events work where you have to assign people+resources to it before the generous timer runs out, or you get debuffs. You can plan and do things while time is paused.

Very fun and strategic, but more in a puzzley sense, not an RTS way. DotAge is another game - very similar, but turn based.

The bare minimum is 15 pieces of flair. This is unacceptable.

The closest GitHub issue I could find regarding this would be: https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues/4572

Doesn't seem to relate to site bans, though. Also doesn't appear to be planned in the near future, unfortunately. I agree it would be nice if it emailed the user letting them know.

This is another issue I've been patiently awaiting the implementation of: https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues/4699

It's in the 0.19.5 milestone. It should hopefully help to undo silly mistakes like this in the future.

I remember the audiobook of Coraline scaring the living bejessus out of me as a kid, way moreso than the movie. I do love the movie though, it's so good

If you scroll to the very bottom of the site, there is a link to the modlog. That is lemmy-wide (ie. everything federated) and you can filter by action and user.

You can also check community-specific modlogs from a button in the sidebar of whatever community.

Hello roguelike Lemmy community. Was hoping somebody could convince me that TOME is possibly up my alley. I've tried playing it a bunch of times, but never really enjoy it, although it has raving reviews on steam. I feel like games like Caves of Qud and Brogue have spoiled me with amazing dungeons/caves to explore and TOME just feels....bland. I understand that it's a lot more combat focused, but even that feels like samey. Granted I haven't played too far into the game and probably need to get to later levels to really feel the strategy requirement. I guess I'm wondering... What merits does the game have OTHER than the combat? Do the dungeons feel unique at all or is it just random gen rooms with enemies littered everywhere?

Alternatively, if TOME just isn't my thing, are there any roguelikes that scratch the same sort of itch as CoQ and Brogue, and maybe Cogmind?

Welp it's July 1st, and I actually had to move from lemmy.world over to lem.ee because that instance is being verryyy overloaded right now, lol.

I'm very new to Lemmy too and I already adore it. I'm really hoping to see lots of the Linux related subs become more prominent over here.
