Saw Louis Rossmans original video on the app and figured (and it may well have been) it would be buggy and awful at that point. Decided to gike it a try, the app has all the options I could want for watching youtube, it's multiplatform to a much greater degree than Newpipe and it's forks.

The reason I don't ever expect to go back to Newpipe or Libretube is the plugins update through the app, meaning I can get bypasses to YouTubes bullshit as fast as they're developed.

Newpipe is usually updated quickly, but in my experience forks like Tubular that include sponsorblocks often delay me from getting that update.

Overall, very good experience so far!

Beautiful watch, had the black 25th anniversary model (which looks good, I just never wore it because of its illegible screen) but this one is a keeper.

Wouldn't let me add an image, but loving the new model so far. Would look stunning in metal, and as much as I love the Casioak... I may prefer this.

The way I see it, community-based social media is a public forum, where every post / comment is public (Obviously less applicable on an individualized platform like Instagram). Everyone has an inherent right to privacy, but not when they're using a platform like Lemmy. Twitter and Facebook are fundamentally different platforms. You can't expect privacy while using lemmy, so use a different platform to post private content.

The fact that letting users choose what software they'd like to install wasn't seen as an fundamental part of a computer really highlights Apple's backwards philosophy towards user experience.

In pretty much every situation I've ever been told thank you, I've felt that "No Problem" is a much better representation of how I feel than "You're Welcome".

Not being FOSS disqualifies any lemmy client for me, I dont want a client that undermines what I like about the platform.

A University named after a disgusting, abhorrently racist and radical man makes derogatory decision.

Antennapod, hands down. It's the best podcast app I've ever used, period. Even proprietary options don't come close.

Usage time ≠ enjoyment.

Bill the manufacturer 100%, IMO. Thats why I think self driving cars beg an unanswerable legal question, as when the car drives for you, why would you be at fault? How will businesses survive if they have to take full accountability for accidents caused by self-driving cars?

I think its almost always pointless to hold back innovation, but in this case I think a full ban on self driving cars would be a great move.

I wouldn't be very happy if my browser injected ads into webpages.

They didnt depict him being decapitated, but his Snoo (i believe those are called Snoos) being decapitated. I think those are two entirely different things, especially given the french revolution theme around it.

Admins are being pussies imo. (After making a very bad decision in returning /r/place) They are of course fully within their right to, and that's why reddit sucks.

Hello all, I love finding applications that feel minimal and do their job well, i.e. zathura, qview, etc.

Do any of you have applications you feel fit with your swaywm experience well?

Hey, excited to see a gshock community was created on lemmy! I figured I'd post asking your opinions on this G I ordered, the DW6900SP-1 (black one). It'll be my first non-square G!
