UK here, on an apprenticeship and earning £40,000+ a year.

Recognise I'm exceptionally lucky but no idea how anyone could afford to complete a degree while living independently in current times.

It's not just about the p-value being more than 95%, the power also needs to be above 80% and we need to have run for at least a business cycle.

In terms of infosec, it's better for each to have it's own account as you don't want any linkages to other organisations with your data.

It's a gigantic pain in the hole though when you use a password manager.

I test drove an Alfa Romeo Giulia and it was a shambles from beginning to end.

He pulls the demo car round, and it was out of fuel, had a flat tyre, the engine management light was on, and the oil temp was sky high.

This was the demo car. The one they use to sell people on the brand.

Noped right out of there and bought German.

When I travelled to the states I was absolutely horrified to find medications for things that only a doctor should prescribe being recommend directly to consumers "Speak to your doctor about X today!"

We have ads for heartburn meds and simple painkillers, but to see immunosuppressants and diabetes treatments marketed to consumers is shocking and absolutely will drive poorer outcomes for patients as they try and force the issue with their GP without the medical beckground to understand the effecacy of that medicine.

I have a lab. She's 30kg and the textbook "good girl" - a decent depiction of the breed standard.

I got her because her terperment was semi predicted in line with her breed, but I still have public liability insurance and don't let her approach kids because she's still a dog.

Over here, especially in urban areas, it's expected that your dog doesn't approach others. Aggressive behaviour doesn't fly. Aggressive dogs on lead are accepted if the owner has complete control, but anything beyond that isn't ok.

At the end of my in laws small 8mx8m garden is a freight train line, and honestly, you just don't hear it anymore once you're used to it.

I got left in the car as a kid all the time when my dad went into the supermarket because I'd be a right royal pain in the arse if I came in.

If it's cool enough and the kid's safe and not scared then no biggie.

I don't doubt for one moment the race definitely plays a part in who gets charged and who doesn't.

Total agreement with this guy as long as I don't need to touch any door handles.

Alas, I'm female so that's pretty much never.

Thanks! I'm now working in a new role where there is no more ridiculous pressure or wild expectations and have been able to commit to working on a degree (because I fucked up the first one).

Work shouldn't leave you panicking on a monday morning or crying into your lunch.
