I'm waiting for fantasy movies about hunting down USA vets for their crimes like they make fantasy media about hunting down Nazi Germans.

I live in Germany and can guarantee it's not a joke. Antifa is very much needed here.

The state of LGBT rights in the civilized "west". No wonder they try to pull off shit like LGB alliance to put us apart. The less of us the easier we are to kill. Literally, as terrifying as it is. Stay vigilant.

I've been working for over three 3 years in the game industry as a QA, but previously only for two huge names and now for a medium sized one. I've never done indie. I tried hitting up indie devs when I saw issues offering free help, but they were never interested. I was wondering if there was a more organized form where I could seek either low paid or even volunteer positions. Since I ditched mass platforms such as YouTube, I have more time on my hands and was thinking it may be a way to use it.

I swear 8 hours 5 days is so dumb unless you don't actually work through the shift. I'd be so much more efficient if I worked 4-5 days 6-7 hours just because I'd burn out less.

Private anything is a scam because it doesn't exist to resolve an issue or fulfill a need and instead pursues profit over any logic.

Some users want to horny post and some want to filter it out. It would resolve the conflict.

I find myself accidentally leaving Lemmy. The icon marking an outbound link isn't very noticeable depending on the image it loads behind it and the amount of user brain activity (for me it's extraordinarily low when scrolling).

Year 2023 and some regressive idiots still think sucking cock is an insult and makes you less than. I hope their cocks remain unsucked, as they seem to like it.

I do and I find it annoying when people don't. It cannot be recycled if you don't (AFAIK) so they burn it instead. Same goes for people who throw away soiled paper such as pizza boxes. They're contaminated and cannot be recycled (AFAIK)! So, what do you do?

I think it's one feature missing from all the text-based websites. I do not watch videos at all. I use text-based media because I cannot interact with else than text and images. It would further improve the speed at which you load the website and improve content quality for all the other people who do not interact with video content. By adding this we'd set a much higher experience standard for users.

I can load an entire website with videos and then load videos in 720p, but I cannot load my inbox with one notification. It should be a miniscule amount of data. I was wondering how the data downloads are being parted. Unread and All seem to be separate based on the loading icon, but are they also separate in regards to downloading them? Is the inbox being partially cached or not? Do pages get downloaded separately or do you pre-download other pages?

Either way, I feel like a way to counter it may be if users were given the option to disable downloading media unless clicked on. Maybe add an option to disable avatars too. I've seen some users having animated avatars and I wonder how much of a download that causes for me. I mainly use Lemmy on the go so on mobile Internet and I won't lie, it's been a struggle at times.

I'm asking because I've seen someone who said "fuck democracy" brought up and I haven't seen any discussions of democracy. I'm not for democracy for many reasons. Under capitalism, the rich will fund very militant propaganda to ensure they get the results they want, not to mention the bribing going on to get politicians to do what they want them to do (this isn't to say politicians aren't rich, but the rich are dragons and will hoard wealth without any logic to it). Furthermore, I genuinely do not believe common people should concern themselves with how complicated running the world is, nor does the average person have the time to even familiarize themselves with one topic adequately, hence why there's not even experts on general topics, but topics within these general topics, as making informed, good decisions requires a metric ton of poop on pig balls of knowledge. And democracy isn't even real in the 1st and 2nd world countries most of the time. You vote on parties who make up their program, which they seldom ever follow (if they even have one and if they do, it tends to be so vague you'd think they're describing eldritch horrors beyond human comprehension and lack the words to put it with), have no means of holding them accountable and generally, unless you're pro status quo or pro status quo with even more anti-minority programs, you're not represented. On one hand I like the approach some countries have where the voters actually vote on passing laws, on the other it requires people to be adequately informed which requires so much time. It would be nice if everyone had the ability to participate, but what if they're not predisposed to meddling in the language laws are written in? Do they not deserve being represented and having their needs protected and represented by law? I cannot find one reason to be for democracy and while technocracy sounds good, it doesn't really have an estabilished way of how we come to select the representatives, especially considering the corruption present in current academics.

Pls enlighten me I'm a dummy twink hnnn biblically-accurate-kitty

I was kicked out of rentals multiple times for being visibly queer. I was scared out of some more by people who even moved after me, but made my life a living hell just for being queer. I was driven into near daily crying during highschool by my peers and sometimes even teachers. I was regularly spat on in public with no reaction from other people. I had a car full of tank top wearing men stop with the intention of beating me up when I was in middle school because they thought I looked too much like a "f*g". To see people, some of whom apparently so privileged they don't even experience systematic queerphobia as per own admission, claim us here aren't queer is so hurtful because it feels like it dismisses my entire lifetime of queer pain. Sincere fuck you to the people who make those claims. Maybe you are the one who isn't even queer and just sows discord amogus. trans-uno amogus

In Ireland I had a bike to work scheme. There seems not to be anything in Germany. Any recommendations on how to get a bike cheap? I need it as soon as plausible.

I unsubbed a while ago after discovering it for myself and binging, because I've noticed the consumer hate from Linus and odd microagression at nearly all times so I noped out. Everything I learn only makes sense to me tbh. It was heavily foreshadowed.

  1. Blaming homophobia on gay people is very dangerous. People in the comments, please don't do it.

  2. I would be happy to read on correlation between homosexuality and anti-gay politics. One may claim it's done purely out of survival but I wonder if there's more to it.

Please tag me when it occurs. I'm interested.

They're happy to have eastern men die forced into it and were probably the same people happy to shame them for trying to flee not to die. I'm so heartbroken for the androcide so happily encouraged by libs. I've seen gross comments from lib men how they will be happy to take over Ukrainian windows. Their kind is rotten to the core. :(
