I live around this mess and I have mixed feelings about congestion pricing. I am for a congestion pricing scheme but the revenue should be shared among all transit agencies that travel in and out of NYC. Who the hell wants to travel into the city when PATH trains only come every 15-20 off peak and weekend hours? Why not beef up transit routes FIRST, and then implement the pricing?

The concept is a good idea. The execution is short sided and insular and I don’t see the MTA benefiting from any of this for at least a decade. That’s IF this money actually goes towards public transportation infrastructure.

I see this going the way of the mandatory 911 fee we all pay and then having almost none of that money going towards 911 service.

Not sure if I should be doing it this but I don’t really have any other options. If anyone has a better solution I’m all ears 😅

"While I am disappointed by the Supreme Court's decision in the Sackett case, EPA and Army have an obligation to apply this decision alongside our state co-regulators, Tribes, and partners," EPA Administrator Michael Regan said in a statement.

You have a fucking obligation to protect the environment. Fuck Michael Regan, Fuck the Supreme Court. I’m so fucking tired.

Why? Why do care? What does anyone care if they want to get vaccinated or not? Don’t get it if you don’t want to. Don’t wear a mask if you don’t want to either.

I just cannot understand this holier than thou attitude about vaccines and masks in 2023.

Sorry is this has been mentioned before.

I’d love to be able to have my system browser of choice be used while I am still in the app. It’s terribly annoying clicking on a link and leaving Memmy to view it.

As an aside, I love y’all’s app and appreciate you. Keep us posted on when you add your tip jar, eh?

Today was the second time this year I’d thrown out my back. The back muscle spasms are so bad it puts me in entirely different state of mind. It’s due to the amount of brain piercing bursts of pains I experience. Transferring from the floor to the couch almost had me black out. It only takes the slightest move to trigger the spasmed muscle(s). It’s like playing a game of Russian roulette but it’s your body movements. Cool huh?

Do y’all get this too? Why is it so fucking god awful painful? How do you handle your episodes?

Oh yes. One of our senators is a black republican AND running for president. He seems like the nicest guy but so fucking stupid. Tim Scott.

Jicama. It’s the most refreshing snack ever. And they are dirt cheap and readily available.

It’s like biting into sweet crispy water. Peel it, cut it up into sticks. Boom. It’ll be gone by the end of the day.

“Facing scrutiny” = nothing will happen. We have such shite accountability for our judges yet, it’s completely unsurprising in (checks the decade), 2023.

Thank you for asking. I too, had no idea and was too afraid to ask.

I feel like Reddit really suppressed my curiosity to post questions like this because they’d either get downvoted to hell, get shite responses, or just taken down.

I’m all for watching Reddit reap what it sowed. They absolutely should be considered damaged goods at this point. But the ones that are really going to suffer are the mods that moderate critical subs such as r/suicide r/stopdrinking and r/auntienetwork. Spez didn’t even give one brain cell to think about the consequences of subs that provide valuable support to struggle people.

Really grinds my gears on that part alone.
