It is a larger lemmy issue. There is a bug logged for it already. There is some stuff you can do to fix it (which I have done) but issue is there were some email changes to lemmy between 0.18.2 a d 0.18.3 and there was no warning or anything logged when email broke so some admins are still unaware if users dont tell them somehow.

Another bug is logged for the fact there is no way to resend the verification email so some accounts are being left in limbo since the email gets lost and thats the end of the process at this time.

Email issue is resolved

The adapter they plugged the male usb end into is not intended to output anything in the opposite direction. Second reason is it was plugged into a strip not the wall directly so both these would prevent eop from working correctly. Last reason is the dongle is intended for a laptop without an rj45 port but somehow the user found this device that was unused and decided it was for a printer they wanted to move from one side of the office to the other.

Its a usb dongle for laptops that are missing an ethernet port.

Testing is done, Backup takes approx 15 minutes. Crontab is set for every day at 3AM EDT (Canada daylight savings). Server will be down every day during this time at around 3AM for 15 minutes as the docker containers are fully stopped and a volume backup of each container is made.

There are 4 volumes - postgres, caddy data, caddy config and pictrs

Backups moved offsite during this time.
