Thats a good point, but I was referring to payment for a service/software that I use. Ive had the YT family plan since it was called YT Red. I'm very willing to pay for the tools I use.

That's a mature approach to this, and one that I agree with. I didn't think the pricing too steep. I can agree, I don't like having subscriptions if I can avoid it. But less than $20 a year... its nothing for an app ill likely use every day (and not owned by a mega corporation)

Sync Ultra is a very reasonable $17 a YEAR. YouTube Premium is reaching that per MONTH. I have sync downloaded and it was the first thing I did. Thanks lj for the beautiful app.

[EDIT: That was a poor comparison, as pointed out in the comments. Leaving it for discussion sake.

There are many counterpoints and actually good discussion happening down below. Even if you don't agree, thanks for showing me a different perspective!

If you want to support Sync, make sure to support the Lemmy Devs and your instance holders as well!

Ive seen a few others try to stylize their keyboards like the NES, but im happy this is going to be a widely accessible product.

Agreed. I use to go full sized, but I only use my numpad for work. Otherwise it just isnt something I need, especially when playing the types of games I play. Also I need more desk space for the big button pad! Lol

I follow your flavor claim, but lose me on the texture bit. They feel veeery similar tbh.

But i cannot STAND white chocolate. Its way too sweet for me, and it overall tastes too much like milk. So much so i usually get 70% cacao content, which would probably be too bitter for your tastes.

Connect for Lemmy has been my mainstay. Waiting for Sync For Lemmy hotly.

It's fairly straightforward. I'm in my 20s and I feel no desire to spend any time with her. She's always been a deceptive and conniving person, and literally tore apart our family and her marriage because of it. Why would I WANT to spend time with you?

And her latest thing the past few years now is to always steer the conversations when I DO go see her to "men dressing like women to go rape women in the bathroom". Or "the [slur]'s just make it so hard to support the gays". She says these things, and all of her grandchildren push back. Hard. We treat everyone the way we would like to be treated, simple as that. So stop spreading bigotry and this bull crap when you go play bingo every week.

Ugh. Happy fourth of July?

found on the RPG magazine on Kbin, some decent OC. Trying to drum up an audience for D&D across Lemmy, the subs I've seen seem fairly inactive.

What's your favorite D20 system based game that isn't D&D?

That you need to water your trees.

It may seem obvious; Water the plants in the yard! But for some reason evertime I was watering my garden I never even thought about watering the trees, but they ARE some big thirsty boys.

Water small-med trees for 30 minutes ~2-3 weeks. Water large trees for 45-60 minutes every month.

Oh. And just pay your fucking taxes. my friends are fucking stupid and dealing with the ramifications of not filing mor multiple years and it's surprised face MORE expensive to deal with after the fact 🙄.

When I was a kid my dad was a contractor. He worked hard, always doing the most possible to make sure my mom and siblings were taken care of.

When I got older, I started going to work with him. I realized how hard it was, how everything he did was extremely physically taxing. It was after moving his ladder for the 12th time I realized this is why he's so tired all the time. He's working his ASS off for us, trading his physical health for us to have a good childhood.

It was my time with him that A) opened my eyes and respect to the thousands of trades folks on the market and B) without them, this whole operation we call modern society falls apart.

So the "little" thing that changed my life was seeing my dad provide the way he did. I chose to continue in the same field as my dad, but now I'm the designer that makes the plans, instead of installs them. He would always tell me "Use your brain if your have one. Otherwise, you can use your body".
