I had pretty substantial CC debt about a year ago. Nearing $14k. After health issues, having to move, replace many belongings, car repairs, etc. Used a 401k loan to pay off 10k of it, and since that loan was paid off (it was over $800 a month) I've paid the rest down under $3k, and should hopefully have it paid off by either year end or spring at the latest. Currently it's sitting in 0% APR though, so it's at least not eating away with interest.

Yes, because you owe someone else money.

A gun shop in Vermont that used to be open had nothing but Islamophobic posts on their Facebook, saying they want to shoot any Muslim that gets near them. When I went in to look at guns before seeing their page, I walked in and was insulted and belittled because someone saw that I had a democratic candidate sticker on my truck when I pulled in. They opened shop in one of the most left leaning areas. They closed less than a year after opening.

I remember when Ubuntu for phones was hyped so big, then it fell flat...

Yeah, I'm generally an early adopter of software, even installed XP media center edition and Win 8 as soon as they were available through the volume licensing center. I've never understood the hate around 10 or 11 on the whole. Yes they have a few frustrating aspects, but overall, they're significant improvements. I occasionally use a win 10 device at work, and it feels clunkier than 11 now. 7 was great, but it isn't worth compromising an entire network for.

Same. Not because it isn't necessarily worth it, but because I'm broke.
