Our tomcat loves rice, enough so that we make a little bit extra every time just for him.

We have another cat that loves bread, preferably freshly baked. It has gotten to the point where we avoid buying bread she doesn't like.

The other 2 just want meat.

In Belgium trains are considered on time when up to a 6 minute delay, but what really schews the statistics is that cancelled trains are not counted. Even so, the number in this overview is completely incorrect. It was 87,5% on time in 2023.

I did that once, I was staying at a family as an exchange student and immediately forced to help with chores. Now, they ran a large creche from that house so there were a lot of different chores and being on dishes could mean slaving away in the kitchen for well over an hour.

Anyway, I didn't know shit about how to properly dispose of oil and in the first or second week poured a large pan of oil down the drain. It ended up ruining some stuff and they had a hefty repair bill. I may be cynical, but I never gave a damn about it as they were basically using me as free labor anyway. Helping with household chores = ok. Helping clean up the gigantic daily mess of those shitty kids in your shitty creche = not ok

Feel free to start a competitive game store. There's a reason why gog, origin or epic hardly make a dent on Valves bottom line.

Volkswagens EV platform is a mess because the CEO responsible for the pivot to EV within VW, was only allowed to implement it if he stopped being the CEO. So the next guy half assed the 80B$ pivot to EV, leading to VW being one of the worst performers amongst EV producing OEMs.

So now they are on the market to buy whatever is needed to get them out of the hot mess they created themselves.

So for those who don't want to give a click to this rag, here is the article published by the EU with links to the study: https://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/statistics-explained/index.php?title=Quality_of_life_indicators_-_overall_experience_of_life

Edit: updated the link as the one I posted was to the previous study from 5 years ago

I love a normal F1 weekend, but this sprint shit ruins it. You get a half assed quali because they didn't get enough practice, then another half assed quali followed by a stupidly short race and only then you get some proper racing, if people aren't getting disqualified for breach of regulations due to not enough practice sessions.

The original F1 weekend format is perfect, why mess withit?!? (Yes, money, I'm aware)

Hippos are crazy territorial, so my money would be on them. It's hard to imagine a rhino losing the battle, but the pure unfiltered rage of a hippopotamus when you trespass his territory will frighten even the boldest of rhinos.

I fully agree with Al Gore on this one. It's not a solution at all and just provides an excuse to keep using carbon based fuel, just like the Germans and their e-fuel. Not saying it doesn't have any useful real world application, but you're deluded if you think this will ever be enough to continue using fossil fuels.

For example it could work very well in fighting smog if applied on an industrial scale, but it still is just a sorry excuse to whitewash carbon based fuels.
