misinformation aside, tax the industry simply increase their cost and they can still just offset to the consumers no? since consumer don't have others down the chain to offset that cost. I know on the sheet you can't list tax as cost, but if the tax come when you buy the fuel, then it becomes part of the cost for say, a truck fleet company. If you tax the oil/fuel companies for how much they produced/shipped, they will have to raise the cost to account for the lost of potential tax to make the balance sheet or projection look nicer. I can't think of a way to tax carbon and those cost won't trickle down. But tax at the source would make overall consumption reduced since the gov artificially drive up the cost of that resource.

In short, consumer would still foot the bill, but the goal to reduce carbon based fuel stays the same.

Yeah, just get a PS5 slim? should be fine if you don't want the disc, or buy used PS5. My launch PS5 is still doing really well. But I stopped playing any multiplayer game on it and stopped PS Plus.

so they embeded a separate launcher?? welp, it's also not necessary, the EOS backend does not need the Epic launcher. As far as I know, the only cross platform/cross play back end is EOS. Sony have their own PC/PSN cross play in example of Helldivers 2. Capcom have their backend and the up coming Monster Hunter Wild is their first title to support cross play. (it was always separated in their past games.) Some big Chinese/Korean dev have their proprietary cross platform backend to support their mobile/console/PC games. (like Genshin)

If you do know any 3rd party cross play back end service please let me know.

Steam backend are not cross play ready for consoles, EOS backend can.

I currently play Lego Fortnite with my son but he doesn't seems to like the survival and village upgrade part. Are there any other lego that are more action/platformer oriented and still can coop? (not like resource gather/crafting means the Minecraft/Terraria is out of the picture. )

Still gonna make him play the lego fortnite since it helps him practice planning the resource needed for building house to upgrade the village. with lots of thinking about math/counting and conversion rate for later resource(ie. 1 corn to 3 corn kernel, or 50 bio mass + 6 glasses for 1 power cell. )

yeah, I am gonna play this with my son for sure!! so excited. :D

not necessary FPGA but can be re-writable: see

https://electronics.stackexchange.com/questions/243712/eeprom-is-a-read-only-memory-so-why-can-i-write-to-it

I am not good in that hardware emu branch but my guess is that they pick something that can drive and matches original clock speed as the old programmable rom was no longer produced. (the antique people would buy old broken ones and rip parts off them or try to restore them.)

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 months ago (4 children)

From look at the board, basically it looks like they did the "hardware" emu approach. But people I know that enjoy retro stuff they either want the look(original or replica case/keyboard, but internal is more modern that runs software emu) or they want the antique(functional original). It's pretty rare to see these kinda of hardware emu where they bundle chips as close to old ones while trying to replicate how the old hardware work and then drive with another modern board for the input/output.

Someone will have it and then later if necessary there will be community re-written version. (crowd funded for example ) Doesn't make sense to chase down a taken down version at this point.

edit: article was updated, the maker gonna re-do the parts from pre-AMD funding point so it's a clean one.

Andrzej Janik updated the GitHub repository a few minutes ago with the message:

IMPORTANT

What happened

The code that was previously here has been taken down at AMD's request. The code was released with AMD's approval through an email. AMD's legal department now says it's not legally binding, hence the rollback. Before anyone asks: I have received no legal threats or any communication from NVIDIA.

What now

At this point, one more hostile corporation does not make much difference. I plan to rebuild ZLUDA starting from the pre-AMD codebase. Funding for the project is coming along and I hope to be able to share the details in the coming weeks. It will have a different scope and certain features will not come back. I wanted it to be a surprise, but one of those features was support for NVIDIA GameWorks. I got it working in Batman: Arkham Knight, but I never finished it, and now that code will never see the light of the day:

So six months after the code was made public as open-source, at the request of AMD's legal department, that ZLUDA code has now been removed. Though given it's Git and may have been cloned, the open-source code likely exists elsewhere by those that were intrigued by this effort.

Was going to find this cause Shotcut fits right there against Premere and AfterEffect. Supports HDR editing(ie. you can extract clips off playstation 5's HDR video recording) but not re-encoding and export as HDR.

recall, immediately foot the bill and still have to fix something they probably haven't fix yet. (the article mention maybe microcode update in August. ) taking lawsuits, they can drag it on and buy themselves time to figure out how to deal with it.

the legal side thing is, unless the claimant can prove that intel "knew" about this and still selling the broken item, there is not much they can do about it other than going through warranty process and get a replacement. However, now many outlet prove that to be a case from small companies to big data centers, they can't keep selling those units as if they are not broken. Some thing needs to be done properly(like as MS for a mandatory update if detect such CPU or work with MB for BIOS update with a feature block) from their legal dept and make sure new buyers have ways to mitigate it.

Hey the subs of Rocket League, I hope all of you have access to workshop maps if you are on console I am very sorry about that.

If you wonder how it can be done on EGS client, please see here from yours truly workshop god Lethamyr !! https://lethamyr.com/set-up-custom-maps

This post is for discussion what to do and see how many wants to do it. In the format like this:

  • which workshop map we are doing the time attack. ie. most rings/ dribble challenge map have a timer.
  • what format of submission(youtube video link, screenshots)
  • rules, like say, have to fly backwards. Or every reset means +2 seconds on final time(cause some map if you manual reset you basically cancel momentum and thus can complete the map faster). any fun rules welcome.
  • and prize, like rocket league credits, or maybe cosmetic stuff I I can give out. (since you can't trade the unopened drops, we can probably do a recording and then send the result to winner.) I have many that I can give away(want to save the eggs etc for my son though).

Yep, it's time making some comments and suggestions.

From description it seems customization is also very limited. And I don't think it really worth 2500c.

I randomly saw this on youtube and figure this is pretty awesome to share. I personally teleport to the water sky temple area(low gravity) and duplicate any easily breakable things there. (eggs, bomb flower, ice jelly, etc)

like nsfw/misinformation bot account migrating their content from reddit and publish on their own instance that also shuffle the created community and account name. You just like hit block button like a mad man to retain some temporary peace and 2 mins later, BAM, full page of nsfw and other stupid things popping up.

Create this post so people can follow and post with consistent format. You can still create your own LFG post with specific region, queue mode, rank requirements, etc. This is a thread to tell a bit about yourself, like when you started playing.

Format:

  • Epic/Platform ID:
  • How long you played rocket league:
  • Which region/time zone you play from:
  • You current/most used car body and why:
  • A secret ritual you do to keep win streak going:
  • Which map/workshop you currently play to practice and warm up and why? (include settings you use, ie. no unlimited boost, lower gravity with bakkesmod etc.)

Opponent was quite skilled and one of them can air dribble, flip reset well that's why toward end of game I have to play pretty aggressively to disrupt his setups. Good thing that my tm8 is also playing very good(much better than I did really if you see how accurate he passed the ball to my landing spot.) This win is a bit of lucky as I am fairly certain that if it goes into OT we would probably lose to some kick off setup and some fancy clip shot was gonna coming. So, GOOD JOB Hodgy, you have my thanks!
