Ya it has a great domain name and didn't require an email when I signed up at least. I'm thinking about spinning up my own instance on AWS though since the lag and "bad gateway" stuff is annoying.
I could see someone trying to sell ads on their instance. But ya I can't imagine many people would join unless they had some other features that are better than other instances.
The limits are so low as well. Imagine paying for Twitter blue and getting rate limited still.
Plus let's be real anyone with a decent scraper isn't gonna not the limit (will just switch accounts).
