Oh this takes me back

Likely a slightly warped CD case with a grippy bit in the middle that's undersized. Which means the discs can rotate and then collide with the case. But key to the scratches is the undersized grippy thing, a good case won't let your discs spin.

Cheap cases have been doing that since I was a kid and I burned my first CDs back in the day. Nothing quite like being the cool kid with a CD burner back in the day.

God I'm getting old.

I'm just going with a Ryzen 1600x system because I have one on hand

My current system has a pair of 12 thread Xeon CPUs and I really don't need them, plus I'm wanting to go with normal consumer hardware for the new system for repairability reasons

Hot damn that's a lot! They ain't messing around with that requirement.

My current server has 32 MB of VRAM. Yes, MB not GB. Once I finish the hardware migration it's going to 8GB but that's not even a drop in the bucket compared to that requirement.

It's pretty old hardware to say the least, it's also really proprietary. (Old Dell PowerEdge T610)

My hardware migration I'm currently in the midst of is going to bring it more in line with my typical use case for it.

Basically taking it down from 192 GB of ECC DDR3 to around 32 GB (maybe 64 GB) of DDR4 RAM. Also down to a single CPU rather than dual socket.

In terms of RAM it's not impossible, my current little server has 192GB of RAM installed.

Pic from TrueNAS

The VRAM would be quite the hurdle though, I'm curious on it's requirements for VRAM

Edit: Moving data in anticipation of a hardware migration ATM so basically none of the services are running.

Personally I've found I can't just use weed (or alcohol) in moderation, I just basically pick back up where I left off.

Currently I'm in my 4th bout of sobriety from alcohol and my 3rd from weed. My sobriety from alcohol so far has been the longest bout of my while life at about 6 years and weed is currently at about 9 years.

For some people quitting and then using in moderation is possible, for some it's impossible. For some it also depends on the drug as well.

Of course he's content, he has his favorite human there

If I was in the same room as my favorite human I'd be pretty content too, apple or no apple

God I miss my favorite human

I'm getting better at understanding them

But damn sometimes I spend more time searching for definitions to understand it than it actually takes to read it

It happens at last once basically everytime I glue a bunch of dudes together.

This time at least it was a fairly painless removal.

And I didn't glue it to my desk so I'll take the W wherever I can.

Coming from the world of D&D where all my minis are basically just stored in tins and boxes loosely, I really don't want to do that with my first Warhammer army.

So that's basically why I'm asking, how do you folks store and transport your armies?

All my minis have steel discs glued to their bases to attach to my custom painting handle, so they can be magnetically attached to things.
