I'm a beekeeper. Fuck this stupid "humanity fuck yeah" bullshit. We trick the bees into staying in the hive. They do not accept or know anything about us stealing their honey. I work very hard to ensure that they don't leave the hive via swarming. I participate in bee eugenics by controlling which queens I allow to continue laying, executing those that are not laying enough, laying too much, or producing offspring with bad temperaments. It's a constant battle against their will to be free.

Edit: one potentially positive takeaway here. I was right wing in my youth. Probably because I was indoctrinated into it. However I was always of the opinion that communism wasn't evil and was just another way of doing things. I eventually realised that capitalism was the great evil of the world and my allegiance shifted more and more left. I hope that the person the replying here is just young and hasn't yet made the great leap yet.

This gamergate thing was one of the many formative moments of my life that pushed me further towards the left. I think it was a crossroads for many people, waking many up, but also plunging everyone else into a deepening pit of reactionary thinking and general bigotry.

Yeah this popped up on the BBC and as usual it was just "video from years ago", "appears to show" and then some quotes from defectors saying "they shoot you if they catch you watching squid game". Just hilarious levels of make-believe.

If we pretend that what the USA does to its own people is acceptable, you still have to consider what it does to the rest of the world. I'm sorry, but in light of all the evidence, I see the US hegemony as evil. I also doubt the western media's portrayal of the Uyghur "genocide" and I don't agree that China is in the process of a Holocaust against its own people.

I'm lucky enough to have a job that puts me in contact with a lot of countries all over the global south of the world, and the general opinion from all of them is that China is a lot better prospect than old Western imperialism.

I'm going there in February for a few months, that's a start. Looking forward to it.
