Also more commonly known as black for us simple folk.
Afaik the idea is that you want to avoid someone to be able to convict their opponents. So make it impossible to take them out using the legal system. Makes total sense to me.
Also, going through my own comics, The asterix one (3) is ofcourse Idefix! Forgot he didn't appear right from the start. Haven't read them in ages!
That's where my guesses end. I have not read any of the other comics. I did found out that Wake is from the first panel. Looks cool, will check it out.
Oh, 8 must be the brothers dalton?
The art style of 10 reminds me of Johan and Peewit, but I'm probably wrong. Don't know the comic enough to remember individual characters. Also looks a bit like Smurfs. Basically Peyo artstyle :)
The big reddit to lemmy exodus?
You didn't use the internet (and thus lemmy) for 1.5 years and you didn't notice lemmy basically blew up?
Pfew, hard one
My European comic knowledge is very limited :) Should have more Jommeke, Kiekeboe and Suske and Wiske! ;)
Yes, I read it. Outside reputable company found no wrong doing. LTT released a statement. By mentioning the lawsuit, they also shut down speculation that they have a weak position.
OP of that post projects their own horrible experience onto LTT. They add nothing at all to the situation, they don't offer any new proof whatsoever. Fuck that tbh. I feel sorry for their personal experience, but this has nothing to do with whole Madison story.
When the Madison story came out, I unsubbed from LTT. Always believe the victim. But then more and more info came out that cast quite some doubt on the veracity of the whole story.
Now it sounds more like an employee that had an (maybe very much so for them) unpleasant experience at a company and lashed out. Turns out the work company wasn't as bad as she made it out to look. Shit happens.
You did see the report they released right? Outside consultant coming to the conclusion no egregious things happened? I'd give them the benefit of the doubt at this point tbh.
I'll never understand the people that have their photo archive linked to a chat app.
Where I live, line is the de facto standard. Soooo many people don't use any backup and just count on line to manage their pictures. Some dude went viral for losing 10years worth of family pictures when he went from iPhone to android. Line is a shit all that doesn't do any migration past 14days when changing os.
Just use Google photos and never think about it again? Or use self hosted stuff if you don't like the cloud. But for the love of God, don't count on the chat app...
That was a loooot more interesting than I expected. Thx!
Is that the real reason? Or because it's a) safer for the shop (no cash on hand) and b) much simpler for the staff (no counting money, figuring out change etc...)
Not everything is purely about being evil you know....
