Really though. 10.8% of homes nationally are unoccupied. Can you imagine how much more accessible housing would be if landlords couldn’t sit on properties to find the next tenant to bleed dry?

That’s an obfuscation of the point. The conflict of interest is that they directly make money from their property - landlords rigging prices and buying all the property are the problem, and they’re also the ones making laws to regulate themselves.

Russia seems to be under the impression that they can invade and not be retaliated against. Wonderful to see Ukraine proving them wrong.

That’s great that anecdotally you get people to shake your hand. That doesn’t invalidate the way she feels, nor does it invalidate the fact that Russia is doing some horrible things right now.

She’s right. A handshake with someone representing the country currently committing war crimes in your country should not be necessary. Can’t imagine what she must feel when asked to do so.
