Nintendo is not an internet savvy company. You can tell by how they implement online gaming features like "friend codes" and pushing everything to a phone app for communication (Splatoon).

It's less about "new content" on Lemmy and more about "I have a social media addiction and need constant content to satisfy my insatiable media habit". A lot of us are guilty of this, me included.

After a long day of getting your soul crushed by work I'd rather not get my soul further crushed by getting my ass stomped in a multiplayer game by people that literally play the game all day every day. I want to feel like a god in a single player game instead.

You used to be able to type the most vague shit in to Google (who was that one guy in that movie with sharks?) and it would be the top result. Now you can basically spell it out for Google and it will still be on the 4th page.

Anyone just get mad emotional and low key ready to cry when you are heading into work because you are so exhausted working 8 hours a day? I wouldn't work 8 hours for myself if i was self employed so why am I doing it for someone else?

Social media as a whole is slowing down I think. People are starting to realize it makes them angry, sad, and annoyed.
