Way ahead of you, buddy.

The dystopian part is something about having a robot standing between us and human contact. I prefer texting over calling as much as the next millennial, but no one asked for them to insert AI into the process. No doubt this is an opt out "service" primarily designed to allow Apple to use all of their customers'conversations as training data.

This scenario is a comic exaggeration of the worst case, but serves as a good example of exactly what's wrong.

A cab with no driver is just an incredibly expensive gender neutral toilet. I shudder to think what will be done in these if they ever exist.

Didn't he say full self drive was two years away at least 5 years ago?

With no information, the blurb is almost designed to be infuriating. But remember that they didn't just drop a wall there. We're talking about grading and building roads for heavy equipment to get there, probably storage, and who knows what else. My money says that was the grift in the first place: scam Trump voters into paying to turn a worthless piece of land into something usable.

By "How 2016 turned out" you mean the Democrats ran a conservative, establishment Democrat when literally everyone was saying we want change? Then she was beaten by an "outsider" and the Democrats went all 'shocked Pikachu face' and blamed progressives for their choices?

Dems think that we owe them our votes while they refuse to represent us. That is not democracy.

They'd probably just turn back into grizzlies eventually.

I'm not saying this will definitely reverse the Earth's polarity and doom all life on earth, but do we really want to take that chance?!

It's so weird how often the people with all the power pretend that compromising with anyone else is the exact equivalent of herding you into camps.

I'm not sure if you've heard of the concept of "zoning", but currently the law is the opposite: people are not allowed to build apartments or duplexes, row homes, etc, because residential areas only allow single family homes.

If you own a single family home, cool. Best wishes, all those things sound like fun activities and I hope you enjoy them. However, those of us who will never be able to afford a single home and don't need one would like more condos to be built. Now explain how building a condo for me infringes upon your rights.

Tell that to Chelsea Manning.

Sure, the US is mostly freer with information than a country that is unabashedly authoritarian. But ask Ron DeSantis what he was doing at Guantanamo, or the CIA what they did in Latin America. If you don't think the US hides plenty from its citizens, you haven't been paying attention.

Our Tianimen Square was Kent State, or maybe the MOVE Bombing, or all of the documented police violence against protesters and marginalized people. Fat lot of good it does that we can talk about them when nothing changes.

I think it makes more sense to hold our government to account than point out the flaws of people we don't like.

That's not what (((elites))) mean to Republicans.
