btw do you know about [email protected]
Die4Ever
just a guess, but looks like it's listing every upvote as a reblog by the community?
the list could combine all the reblogs by the same user into a single line, no need to show multiple I think
I'm not talking about the "New" sort method for comments, I'm talking about the "New Comments" sort method for posts
https://join-lemmy.org/docs/users/03-votes-and-ranking.html
New Comments: Bumps posts to the top when they are created or receive a new reply, analogous to the sorting of traditional forums
traditional old-school forum software and I think that revives older content better, as one user commenting on an old post will bring up a thread to the top again.
Lemmy does this if you use the "New Comments" sort method
welcome, Agent Calavera
The 11th Hour is pretty rough and frustrating lol, but if you can deal with the difficulty (or have a walkthrough ready) then it's still enjoyable (definitely use ScummVM for this game)
The 13th Doll is much more palatable, The 7th Guest VR is great too
This is my most wanted feature right now for Boost
this was a great run, I do enjoy all the planning that RTS speedruns show
yes I think there can be a lot of power here, Reddit was really bad about this
sometimes I like to sort posts by "New Comments" so it's like an old style forum, Reddit couldn't do this at all and it was awful, Lemmy's "Active" sort is also pretty good for this
imagine if someone creates a truly better Reddit alternative than Lemmy and all the others (or maybe just a fork and not truly brand new)
they don't have to fight against the momentum and start with 0 users and 0 content, they get kickstarted by the content already in the Fediverse, so people will be more willing to jump in
so the best platform actually has the chance to shine instead of dying because no one is using it, but it also doesn't leave users behind who prefer the other platforms, and the other platforms have a chance to catch up again with all the access to the shared content
the best game of all time!

we have a community for the series here [email protected] (The 7th Guest, The 11th Hour, The 13th Doll, The 7th Guest VR, the board game, and the other 2 games from Trilobyte/Aftermath Media are welcome too: Clandestiny and Tender Loving Care)
Discord has a really low barrier to entry for conversation, it's low friction. If someone playing a game gets a sorta funny screenshot they can share it in Discord and have a decent chance to get some responses or reactions.
But they won't post it on Reddit or anything because there's more friction there, it feels like more work to create a post and then you're unlikely to get any responses anyways, and even if you get upvotes you can't see who upvoted like if it's someone you know, and there's no easy emoji reactions. And users making comments to respond also feels higher friction than a message, people are just less likely to do it for whatever reason.
It just feels like small scale conversations are more likely to happen in Discord than anywhere else. If you have a small group of people then something like Reddit/Lemmy probably won't be sustainable, it'll never take off, but get them in Discord and you're more likely to keep the group active.
Those cables won't make any difference to temperature, they're not even that close or clumped up

They don't look likely to get buzzed either
