I wonder if there would be enough data on archive.org to rebuild your community?

you can probably find a mirror of the community on one of the big Lemmy instances

account portability is a big topic in 'verse developer circles

I think community portability is a way bigger deal, at least here

I think if communities could have aliases/mirrors, that would mostly fix the problem without completely rewriting all of the ActivityPub spec?

edit: I did find this issue on their Github https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues/3100

and: https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues/4619

Lots of people don't like those communities that are filled with bot posts. A lot of people even disable viewing of bot posts. Most of those bot posts have 0 comments.

I just don't think they're a good example to support your case.

Yeah you'll need an account. Once you have an account the easiest way to edit is to click the pencil icon at the top right of the file in the website. You can edit in the web browser and then submit a pull request from there automatically.

Can anyone link some examples?

I haven't played many JRPGs, but I'll say Grandia 2. I liked the way the timers worked, and the cancels. Also positioning always adds depth to combat.

Panzer Dragoon Saga was pretty cool too, with the circular movement.

I think I still have the box at my parents' house!

20 years old 😱 lol

I also loved the expansion pack, Resurrection of Evil. Probably a bit too similar to play them back to back, but playing it after a couple of years of not playing Doom 3 it feels kinda like an accelerated version of the base game.

sorry I haven't been posting these for a while lol, but Doom 3 was too important for me to miss! I loved this game, as I do all Doom games

What a crossover

[NEW] µ-Ziq - Grush (mikeparadinas.bandcamp.com)

About this album

Mike Paradinas, veteran producer and Planet Mu label owner has written a new album called ‘Grush' and it's full of weird bangers that reclaim the 'dance' part of the woeful term IDM. A back-to-first-principles record, inspired in part by the group of artists IDM was coined for; melodic dance music that didn't come out of urban scenes, but interpreted them from a distance.

The tracks on ‘Grush’ are all road-tested live favorites developed with feedback from Mike's touring partner and visuals guy ID:Mora (Jan Moravec). It's a detailed and energetic journey which replicates the flow of a live gig. A lot of the tracks have been made in hotel rooms in response to shows, ‘Imperial Crescent’ is named after a Japanese Hotel, as is ‘Belvedere’ in Prague, while some tracks such as ‘Hyper Daddy’ were created specifically to play live.

Drums are confidently at the fore here and the album feels like it traces Mike's musical history and interests neatly around his sweetly nostalgic melodies, with atmospheres and structures which twist and turn with a charming softness which contrasts with the tension in the drums. Take ‘Hyper Daddy’s’ spiralling notes and twinkling piano which remind one of early Black Dog or Omni Trio rushing alongside splashy jungle drums, or the aquatic acid footwork of the title track with its drums softly bubbling and kicking. Elsewhere there's territory which harks back to his Tusken Raiders pseudonym, like the heads down Drexciyan funk of ‘Windsor Safari Park,’ which transforms from moody electro into a sunny hardcore track midway. The album is interspersed with Reticulum A, B and C at the start middle and end of the album which suggest a theme which carries across the music in an effortless and joyful way. ‘Grush’ is a strong album that works both for listening and DJing and a great snapshot of where Mike Paradinas musical head is at in 2024.

If you don't know what Deus Ex Randomizer is, then here's our old trailer which shows a breakdown of how it works:

v2.0 Trailer

Here's a trailer for WaltonWare mode. WaltonWare mode is focused on quick wins by completing a single bingo line, and increasing difficulty after every win. The bingo goals are all scaled to their minimum settings and you start in a random area. All bingo goals will be completable within just a few maps!

WaltonWare Trailer

Here's a trailer for our new Mirrored Maps feature in v2.5. Play through the game with a random mix of mirrored maps, which will keep you on your toes even more than the randomizer has before!

Major Changes

  • You can now pet the dog! And other animals too. With bingo goals.
    • image
  • Loot Refusal for looting carcasses.
    • Check your defaults in the Rando -> Gameplay menu.
    • On your inventory screen you have buttons to mark items as trash or not trash, these are only remembered for the current run (since the stats change every run/seed). Marking an item as trash will also drop it.
    • Trash items will fall from carcasses when you loot them instead of going into your inventory, but you can still pick them up from there.
  • Turn off any glow on datacubes once you've read them, which helps finding datacubes that are close together.
  • Reworked Synthetic Heart aug. It no longer uses energy on its own, it just multiplies the energy cost of the boosted augs.
  • Reworked Spy Drone aug. Energy cost is reduced greatly, but detonating the Spy Drone now costs 10 energy. (You can disable the aug for free.)
  • Fixed jail reducing your ammo, especially for grenades.
  • Speedrun mode now defaults to realtime menus. Fixed the crash when changing levels with windows open. Also autorun is a little smarter now. By the way, we now have an official speedrun leaderboard on https://www.speedrun.com/dxrando
  • Fixed GMDX v10 crash "missing Animal.ModifyDamage" (Issue #767)

Minor Changes

  • Fix crates that allow you to jump out of the Warehouse sewer water.
  • fix Anna pepper spray when EMP'd and other issues with shielded enemies.
  • PS20/40 get thrown away more quickly.
  • Buffed update notifications.
  • Speedrun splits display tweaks and smarter balanced splits.
  • Toned down lamps a bit to retain the original mood of the game.
  • Fixed some floating nanokeys and datacubes.
  • Bingo Goal for disabling electrical control panels in Vandenberg Computer room no longer gets completed by merging Helios.
  • Highlighting decorations will now show the proper number of shots from sabot and explosive weapons.
  • Laser emitters now take damage from sabot and explosives even when under the min damage threshold, to match behaviour of other breakable objects. Highlight text reflects this as well.
  • Tweaks to baby grays and baby karkians.
  • Smuggler's elevator is now smarter.
  • Fixed alliances in versalife when you steal the rom encoding.
  • Fixed Lucky Money police getting angry at you too easily.

  • Add elevator Open Door button texture to the millions of elevators.
  • Miguel no longer hates shots in UNATCO HQ.
  • Doors at elevator down to Area 51 sector 3 can now be opened again by the call button after Bob stops blabbing about the man who did the job.
  • Lay D Denton now has more randomized clothes.
  • Zero Rando books now add to your notes too.
