So does this confirm that Iran is trying to build a nuclear bomb? Because before they were trying to be ambiguous with whether or not they were.
This is the first time I've heard about the rally around the flag effect not working to boost the president's approval ratings.
You know if you want to do something more effective than just putting copyright at the end of your comments you could try creating an adversarial suffix using this technique. It makes any LLM reading your comment begin its response with any specific output you specify (such as outing itself as a language model or calling itself a chicken).
It gives you the code necessary to be able to create it.
There are also other data poisoning techniques you could use just to make your data worthless to the AI but this is the one I thought would be the most funny if any LLMs were lurking on lemmy (I have already seen a few).

and made a mistake that every president only lasted one term (I don't know how). What I should've said is that no party has lasted 2 presidents in a row. My point still stands though just that it will take longer than just this election year.
I'm not disagreeing with you. I'm saying that at the current moment (with the current political system in the US) those are the options.
Option C is only an option if a significant majority believe that a third party can win which is not what a majority of people believe. It is like a catch 22.
What I am mainly saying is that things are likely going to change but the way in which that happens is unclear.

In the past 100 years the longest a political party has held office has been two presidents. So even if Joe Biden wins this next election there is a high probability the Republicans will win eventually.
