When they wrote this "promted explanation from the water body itself" I thought it was some funny wording for a water agency or sth, not that they'd actually attempt to word their answer as if it's from the waterfall itself, lol.

The park later posted on behalf of the waterfall saying, "I didn't expect to meet everyone this way". "As a seasonal scenery I can't guarantee that I will be in my most beautiful form everytime you come to see me," it adds. "I made a small enhancement during the dry season only so I would look my best to meet my friends."

Was surprised I started mixing up left and right after I broke my right-hand wrist while biking.

Turns out I subconsciously associated "right" for the direction my stronger hand was on, and once my left hand started feeling like the more dominant one during recovery - my brain would automatically choose that "right" should be on my left-hand side instead, until I actively thought about which direction is which.

This gradually decreased out as my right hand recovered and got back to being the dominant one over the next few years, but was eye-opening what shortcuts my brain uses for such basic things.

Prices have gone berserk. New tech and safety features you get are great, if implemented well. Going for a more reliable and conservative car brand might be better for you, and don't ever buy anything that has capacitative buttons instead of physical ones. Hopefully, safety agencies will downright outlaw this shitty trend soon.

Had to move to a Win11 machine, because of work - I've never been so frustrated with a Windows interface in my life. For reference, I've used everything from Windows 3.11 to 10, enjoying most upgrades (except Vista). Never have I experienced such UI and usability downgrade.

Article cites UK Ministry of Defence wrong, it's actually total of 240,000 to 290,000 killed + permamently or temporarily wounded. Still staggering figures, though.

Lol, thanks for helping convince all my relatives and friends to finally leave Facebook then, Facebook. Couldn't think of a better incentive myself.

Please explain, how exactly is fractional-reserve banking a pyramid scheme?

Our president is a piece of shit. Good thing is that after we finally got a working government he isn't controlling almost anything of substance. So he can make his shit speeches until his term ends, and we will still help Ukraine as much as we can. Sad thing is, some part of the population still listen to him and Russian propaganda spewing, refusing to think for themselves.

It was really funny last week when Zelensky got invited and he had to publicly meet him, all our pResident bullshit talking points got refuted on national TV by someone with much more cojones than he can ever have, leaving this MF-er looking like a fool. I really hope this way good logic reached some people.

You can turn these off. It's part of their crypto rewards system (you get occasional ads, some crypto and then some of it gets distributed back to the websites you vist most, or just the ones you select) so it's on by default. But you can easily opt out of this from settings.

I don't think this whole crypto system lifted off really, but it was a neat idea to reward web content creators and users, according to traffic and preferences.

Wtf is going on there, is that Clown Central? Almost all of the involved parties on that road did amazingly stupid and dangerous things.
