Kremlin vs cop lovers

That's a bold bold statement. I would love to see how you back that up.

To add, Testosterone is not necessarily a miracle hormone with no side affects

It is very well known that higher test can result in aggressive tendencies... Not to mention the physical health risks.

Here's literally the first study I found online which shows and increasing Test in males can lead to physical and emotional child abuse.

From OP's study:

No effects were found of testosterone administration for strongly affiliated Democrats or strong or weak Republicans. Our findings provide evidence that neuroactive hormones affect political preferences.

This obviously shows that Test was enough of an emotional push to get weekly affiliated Dems to switch. It likely has nothing to do with increased cognitive abilities.

As long as they aren't posting DIY videos then I don't care what they do.

It is a really nice app though. I have never even used the iMessage feature.

Keep telling yourself that bruh

I know that it isn't your sub. I was responding to you as if it is because you're calling for more mod rights.

Fediverse is growing. We shouldn't isolate communities from criticism in the name of growth. If I wanted that then I would be on Facebook or something where interactions are ultra pasteurized in the name of protecting the community. But in my opinion that just leads to low effort interactions and dumb DIY videos that go viral mostly ran by bots.

So you want to have your cake and eat it too is what it sounds like. To me it sounds like you want to have a minority friend but still be able to make racist comments. You may struggle to find that particular friendship.

The reason why is because federation and friendships are a two way street. It's kind of silly to want to be part of a community that doesn't even like your takes. It's also silly to seek protection from devs so that you can share stuff that the majority of the community you want to be part of disagrees with. It's like asking rabbi's of a synagogue to help you spread Christianity. It just doesn't make very much sense.

My opinion is to either rough it out until you may get more people to agree with you are just join a more like minded community like gab or truth social or something. Nothing wrong with that. Ultimately downvotes don't mean anything so it's not like your sub is getting ruined.

Bruh, OP's post is about how conservatives have thick skin and cudos to them even though they almost all get downvoted. Then OP asks why that would be.

Theroux then says that the likely reason you are downvoted is because you aren't welcome here. Now why would someone say that? Probably because they strongly disagree with you on xyz topics.

So just as I explained, downvotes are used to show that you disagree/disprove/dislike a particular conversation.

So again to summarize, I believe that yet again you are acting in bad faith by saying that I'm the one that brought up downvotes. Read OPs post and you'll see they did several times. Theroux responded to OP as to why posts may be getting downvoted. I am attempting to explain why downvotes aren't a big deal. Do you see that progression in conversation? I have a feeling you're stuck on Theroux being unwelcome and my response is: big deal. How dare they give you basically the thumbs down in disapproval.

I genuinely don't think I've ever had to spell something out that is this simple before. I'm starting to understand why people aren't interested in engaging in conversation and instead just up/down vote.

And how, in the context of this thread, is the left being intolerant? The correct and obvious answer that you believe is through downvotes.

But I doubt you'll admit that... Which is pretty dishonest imo.

Ultimately we are both have been engaging in discourse extensively and this point. I believe that shows we both care about downvotes. We've come to the end of our conversation. Now you, me, and anyone else can read through the interaction and decide which person makes sense.

Let's get this abundantly clear.

I believe upvotes and downvotes are used to show if you like or disagree/ agree or disagree with something.

You believe downvotes are a symptom of liberal intolerance.

Which belief sounds more fragile to you?

Im just blown away at the fact you're so upset about downvotes and someone saying they downvoted you because 'you aren't welcome'. Just like my "straw man" point stated above; that is the equivalent of someone disagreeing with you or not wanting to participate in a conversation that they view as "wrong".

Not everyone who disagrees with you is obligated to get into a full blown debate mode in order to have the privilege to downvote. If everyone did that then you would probably complain that you're getting invaded or something silly.

Ultimately if you like or agree with something then up vote and if you don't like or disagree then downvote. Seems pretty fair to me. And please don't come at me and say 'just ignore the post'. That's weak sauce attitude and I ain't interested in that.

Hey folks, I was inspired by Chris Titus Tech's video on using RSS readers as an alternative to browse the Internet.

I love this idea and want to incorporate it into my mobile routine but haven't found a reader with a search function.

I'm currently using Feeder which I love except for two things.

  • "Mark as Read"/ reading articles eliminates them from my feed with no way to retrieve them
  • no search function.

FOSS is a plus. I would love to hear your recommendations!
