Do you know the Feynman-Tufte Principle?

@[email protected]

The principle states that: a visual display of data should be simple enough to fit on the side of a van.

Before making any costly improvements to your car, we recommend first testing your visual displays with the Tufte theme in @LabPlot, an open source Data Visualization and Analysis software.

The following six Edward Tufte's recommendations are encapsulated in the Feynman-Tufte Principle:

๐Ÿ‘‰ documenting the sources and characteristics of the data,
๐Ÿ‘‰ insistently enforcing appropriate comparisons,
๐Ÿ‘‰ demonstrating mechanisms of cause and effect,
๐Ÿ‘‰ expressing those mechanisms quantitatively,
๐Ÿ‘‰ recognizing the inherently multivariate nature of analytic problems, and
๐Ÿ‘‰ inspecting and evaluating alternative explanations.
