There has been more nonsense being posted overnight from Youtube that I need to post this thread again. Remember to refrain from posting unverified nonsense here. Youtubers (especially non reliable ones) are just out there to get clicks and they know as much as you and I. Performance leaks usually comes closer to announcement and pricing is the last thing the be determined. So keep that in mind.
Free your mind from manufactured outrage.
Now, on to the post
First, let's go over Rule 8 - No Unsubstantiated Rumors & Discussions.
No unsubstantiated rumors or conspiracies. Rumor posts are allowed but it must link back to a reputable source.
What this rule is trying to accomplish is for this subreddit to have generally reliable rumors posted while weeding out less reliable rumors and other nonsense. Obviously rumors will always be rumors and nothing is certain until they are officially announced but we're doing everything we can to stick to the most reliable rumors and disregard noises and nonsense.
This means, the following are allowed:
- Post linking to a reputable sources
- Examples: Kopite7Kimi on Twitter, Certain Videocardz.com articles from reputable sources, Other articles linking to reputable sources.
The following are NOT allowed:
- Post linking to known unreliable sources for NVIDIA
- Examples: A certain Youtube channel with 4 words in their name, Random social media account, Random Youtube account, etc
- Standalone post discussing specific leaks whether they are coming from reputable or unreliable sources
- Examples: Post discussing specs of rumored GPU or rumored pricing of certain SKU, Post talking about your opinion (or other people's opinion) on certain rumors.
Here's the bottom line:
- Do:
- Take rumors with grains of salt. Even ones from reliable leakers but especially ones from unreliable sources.
- Realize that specs can and will change until they are finalized. Price is usually the last thing to be determined.
- Post links to reliable sources.
- Don't:
- Don't believe everything you read/watch online and then get upset over it and posting it online.
- Don't post standalone discussion thread on specific rumors. All discussions should be contained within the post linking back to specific sources.
- Don't post links to unreliable sources or general nonsense.
Remember, this rumor season should be somewhat fun to anticipate what lies ahead. Take rumors with grains of salt and enjoy the ride.
Cheers
