My monitor: MSI 27" 240 Hz QD-OLED QHD Gaming Monitor 2560 x 1440 (2K) MAG 271QPX QD-OLED E2

GPU: RTX 4080 super

For some context if I launch WoW Classic with GSYNC enabled in Nvidia control panel + adaptive sync set to ON in my monitor's settings I can open my monitor's settings and see the hz value is rapidly changing from numbers between 60 and 240 + I see some screen tearing.

If I enable adaptive sync on my monitor, but disable GSYNC in Nvidia control panel the hz value I see in my monitor's settings stays at 240 and I don't get screen tearing.

I was told I should enable GSYNC in Nvidia control panel + enable adaptive sync on my monitor, but I seem to get issues with both of them enabled. Any explanation/advice?

In WoW's graphics settings I don't have any target/max FPS options enabled
