Now that it's announced, Spore Druid seems awesome.

I have to play as Shadowheart first I think. I just love her so much, even if I'm not a fan of her class. I want to see her story from her perspective.
Gonna go with a fighter battlemaster. I usually go monk but I'm kind of not into it anymore. I might do a second run as a monk or warlock tho
I usually play these games as a Druid because the power of spellcasting and melee/ranged adaptability isn't anything to sneeze at. As to what specific flavor of Druid...I've not decided as throughout Baldur's Gate 3, I've stayed barely informed on the classes and their subclasses. When I jump in game is when I'd make class specific choices.
Probably a dwarf cleric or gnome wizard. I like being an OP ass caster and love being short.
I'm going to play either a dwarf paladin, an elf/half-elf/human cleric, or a halfling rogue.
Edit: Now I'm leaning more towards human bard. Let's be honest I'll probably change my mind ten times before it releases.
For the first run, I think I'll try one of my actual favourite characters, a GOOlock, just to see how it works in the game.
Then a bard, probably.
Half-Elf Circle of the Moon Druid!
As someone pretty new to 5e - I played Solasta, but haven't done any tabletop - I am facing pure analysis paralysis.
Really leaning towards some kind of hybrid caster/fighter just because the variety of spells seems too great to want to go fully martial. Maybe Eldritch Knight or Stabby Warlock.
But then I also like the idea of a Paladin for support, or a Druid for shape shifting, or...
And so on and on it goes. In short, I have no idea.
After playing a lot of Solasta, I'm torn between 2h Paladin, a Land Circle(probably Mountain) Druid, or a Tempest Cleric.
Former because big numbers go brrrt.
The druid because Spike Growth is ridiculously effective in Solasta.
Tempest Cleric because I played one in 5e and the spiritual weapon + Call Lightning(w/channel divinity for pushback trolling) is a ridiculously effective combo
First play through? I'll play a Human Wizard. Second will probably be a dwarf cleric...maybe.
I heard a play through takes a long time if you want to explore everything. And I do.
RN, it depends on how fun monk feels once I can play it on release. Otherwise, I'll probably go Paladin for my playthrough; and Druid when playing with friends
I need to be a wizard, I just can't help myself. I love spells and a good power trip, I just hope I'll be able to experience one with level cap at 12
Possibly druid for badger fun.... but knowing me Ill end up a fighter because I alwasy do....
I always play a booring human wizard. I've got hundreds of hours in EA, and I still can't make myself play anything else.
I'm thinking either a warlock or a barbarian. I had so much fun being a barbarian, jumping around and smashing stuff! But I love spelllsssss. Super intrigued by the wild magic barbarian... Definitely going to try it at least once, probably not on my first playthrough though.
I did like the "fuck you, I'm descended from dragons" feeling of the draconic sorcerer, but I think I'm leaning towards a barbarian on first playthrough.
