Hi everyone! I was hired as a web dev a couple months ago, and I’ve been using Ubuntu on an encrypted work drive, booting on my main rig. I know in terms of mobile workstations, many people prefer to do development and programming on Macbooks, but I was wondering if anyone knew how responsive Surface Pros are to installing/running Ubuntu. I’ve run my boot drive on my surface pro 7, but the laptop is a bit too underpowered to do any development. I’ve been eyeing a new Surface Pro 11 32Gb in favor of a Macbook pro, but the reason I’m asking is because of the Snapdragon NPU that come with them. I’ve heard Ubuntu is working with Qualcomm to improve support for the Snapdragons, but I’m a bit of a noob and don’t exactly know what I’d be in for.

TLDR; Ubuntu on a Snapdragon NPU a decent idea? And furthermore, on a Surface Pro 11?
