Mork and Mindy, a fantastic series starring Robin Williams and Pam Dawber.
Shazbot, somebody doesn't know who Mork from Ork is
Makes sense. It's almost completely dropped out of the zeitgeist. It doesn't get referenced much in pop culture at all anymore. My wife has a 22 year old son and I asked him if he knew what it was and he had no fucking idea. He's a pop culture literate guy too, even when it comes to stuff from the 70s-90s
it actually didn't run very long, but was an absolute smash for a couple of seasons.. maybe Robin's later work just overshadowed it.. you're right though, it's strange that it hasn't really made it into the phenomenon of exploring 70s culture much.. you have to search for it at the moment.. maybe a hip meme will suddenly mainstream it..
You make a good point about his later work overshadowing it. He went on to do some BIG things after that for sure. Pam Dawber... not so much. Just imagine being in that shadow as he blew up after that.
This all just reminds me how much I miss him 😞
I hope that you stroked your ears when you said that.
Wait, my memory says you flap your hair with your hands. Is it really ear stroking?
It's always seemed kind of crazy to me that this was a spin off of Happy Days
Happy Days Season 5 was quite a ride.
Wait what
Yup. And wait until you find out that Happy Days was itself a spin off (of a sort).
Mork calling Orson, come in Orson
Boy did I love this show!
He's the only celebrity I miss.
