So glad my team sucks π

I think I graduated from the most perpetually incompetent football school in the country. My only concerns are if the local bars have raised prices and if the annual FCS team will beat us by fewer than three touchdowns.
I figured this past weekend was a tossup on taking another loss. Could've gone either way as it was the bye week.
Denton does really have great bars though. That's always a highlight.
To the extent it can fend off generic suburbification, Denton is a damn gem, a classic college town right there in the DFW metroplex. I wish UNT could put things together and make a little noise. I'd love for Gary Patterson to get one last rodeo somewhere, and if he's not getting the feelers he'd want from P5 schools, Denton could be perfect for his old-school "track 'em down and coach 'em up" recruiting philosophy.
I feel bad for UNT. Not only have they been having to compete for recruiting against Big 12 schools, now with UTSA and Texas State raising their level of play it's only going to get more difficult for them.
Life certainly is easier when you don't have to worry about rankings...
Speak for yourself, man. It's nice not being the biggest punching bag in the entire sport for the first time in a decade. π€π»
Youβre right about that. We get to serve as potential spoiler to a few more teams this year instead of the other way around.
22 is too high for Florida. I think we pull off bowl eligibility and fend off the worst of the naysayers, but this team has serious issues. I'd probably flip them with my other school, TCU.
tbf, I think you can also make a sound argument for moving them up one spot and moving that team down one spot because, well...
Seems that "Tennessee Swamp Voodoo" is an accepted scientific fact as per the Associated Press.
Who voted for Clemson? Dabo?
I know you're joking, but this did make me check the coach's poll and they aren't ranked there.
The actual answer is apparently Mike Berardino of South Bend who had them at 22 and Don Williams of Lubbock who had them at 25.
Iβm just happy thereβs a MAC school in the top 20.
EDIT: Iβm an idiot, see below. Donβt post before coffee.
If this is a dig at Washington State, there are two! Oregon State is there as well.
No Iβm just an idiot and wrote this before my morning coffee. Misread the Miami as Miami of Ohio. Alas.
Lmfao I thought maybe that was the case, but either way. 2 1/2 Mac schools in the top 20!!
