So I feel like this being framed rather unfairly in the title.

They are stopping development on this free to play game - and have instead developed a whole new app with the same name.

You can move your character from the old app to this one

The new one keeps all the same fun events but ALL micro transactions have been removed.

So TBH I'm gonna buy this version bc I didn't play the last much because of the micro transactions

Good on Nintendo for this one.

I like Nintendo pushing for paid-yet-good video game with events instead of micro transaction model. MTs hurt your brain.

I wouldn't be opposed to very strict regulations for micro transactions tbh. Treat them like gambling and get them as far away from gaming as possible

Yeah that's actually good. It's also the first time I've seen reverse on this greed process that's seemingly everywhere nowadays. I might be negative about Nintendo sometimes, but that's great move of them. Kudos.
