Bounding Journey

This is an eastern gray squirrel (Sciurus carolinensis) that I shot while running in Georgia. When I say shot, I mean with my camera, I don't hunt and haven't since I was a kid.

I've had several inquiries about how to get a print of some my photographs. This is a hobby for me, so I haven't been equipped to handle those requests. But I enjoy what I'm doing and want to share my photographs.

@[email protected] I know someone who does shoot squirrels. Not for fun, though - it's his day job, he's a pestie (pest controller). Squirrels are just one amongst the many things that you don't want running around inside your food factory.

There are circumstances where control measures become necessary. I hunted and ate squirrel meat when I was young, but in retrospect, I don’t know why. Now my battle with squirrels are over bird feed. My dogs chase them off but that only works when the dogs are out side and they aren’t outside dogs.
