Hey there, i just wanted to get someone’s advice on something regarding Record Labels. Recently I started posting on tik tok about my singing covers. I’ve built a fan base with about 22.3k followers, 1.6M likes overall, and recently I had a viral video of 10M views and shouted out on YouTube by the recording artist himself.
I recently received an email the other day with the subject: “(my name) x Atlantic Records”. Immediately I thought it must be someone pulling my leg but it turns out it wasn’t. It was an A&R director reaching out to me asking for a meeting with me and my parents (as I’m 15) and wanting to discuss my plans with music as a whole. The meeting is arranged for this coming Saturday.
What should I expect from this interview?
Should I mention how I want to record originals and realse an EP??
Is this a big thing as this is my first email from my business account?
